  1. Yes, but the only potential downside of the package . . . You cannot make any reservations prior to boarding. If you wish to dine in Eden as a part of the package, you will need to head immediately upon boarding to one of the specialty restaurants or the stand outside Oceanview Cafe to book all your reservations. You may need to be flexible with dates and time for Eden in particular.
  2. If you pay by item, instead of a stuff the bag or loyalty bag, you’ll get the laundry ironed and back on hangers. We were very fortunate on the Apex TA last fall; I put the items we wanted laundered (maybe 3 pair of cotton blend capris for me, a couple of cotton tops, a pair of DH’s lightweight pants and a couple of cotton shirts); not even close to a bag. I knew this was all, wrote loyalty on the bag with a note asking that they be pressed and on hangers, assuming we’d pay for 5he pressing/hanging. Back early the second day (not next), pressed and hanging. No charge ever on our account. Perhaps because we were at no more than 40% capacity (1200 pax and 1100 crew)? I certainly won’t expect that this fall.
  3. Each of the 4 does have a theme for decor and a small section of the menu, called the “Exclusives “. The menus have 3 sections: The “Celebrity Classics”, the fleet wide portion that remains the same every night. The “Signature” section, which is the typical rotational schedule. The “Exclusives”, unique to each restaurant’s theme. It is comprised of 3 starters, 3 mains and 1 dessert. As noted earlier, you can usually request an item(s) off another’s menu.
  4. Another option that might be available is ship line tours offered to b2b passengers. There will at times be one or two options.
  5. The shows typically last just under an hour, so you would be able to dine after the show.
  6. Yes, you should be able to book it as soon as you book your cruise. I booked our dinner for this October last October. We were on Apex and loved our dinner in Eden. Booked Eden dinner on Beyond (cruise had been booked for a few months) right then!
  7. There are 2 dining venues in Eden. Eden Restaurant is a specialty dining restaurant, which is only open for dinner. It is located on the lowest floor of Eden, which actually has space on 3 decks. Eden Cafe is located on the main level of Eden, basically adjacent to the bar. It is complimentary and is only open for limited hours during breakfast and lunch times on at sea days.
  8. Jim, again your photos continue to amaze me! Today’s were stunning. I hope you see the northern lights and catch a few pics to share.
  9. No in-person gatherings. However, the hours remain 5:00-7:00 pm, with no limit on the number of drinks. The same Elite drink menu is in place and is available at most of the bars onboard, excluding the Martini Bar, the World Class Bar and all restaurants.
  10. I’m not Rainbow Traveler, but here are a couple of pics I took on Apex half cabana set-up Full cabana
  11. This happened with our cruise last October on the Apex TA, but that was fairly early in the return to cruising. I finished check-in, but couldn’t select a time. I checked back a couple of times per day for a few weeks. One night as I was heading to bed, I thought I would try once more . . . Success! I was able to get the earliest check-in time of 11:00-11:30. It will open, but you’ll need to regularly check as there was no notification from Celebrity. I had checked twice that day and just decided to try once more.
  12. @TeeRick, we sailed the same itinerary on Solstice in 2018. I think we may have been on the same cruise. It was outstanding. Long flights, yes . . . but worth it!
  13. Ken and @jwlane, I see only a blank page as well when I click the link . . . and, Ken, I do have an IG account, so that is not the problem.
  14. Ken, thank you for sharing your wonderful photos! They are stunning. signed, your neighbor about 30 miles northeast 😊
  15. If you order a drink over the Classic limit ($9.00), you’ll pay the difference plus 20% gratuity on the difference. unless you’re in an upper tier suite, the mini bar is not included. There have been some who’ve reported that even in a Sky Suite their PRH has filled the mini bar without charge, but I would not count on that.
  16. When you check in, whether online or the app, you select the 30-minute window for your arrival time at the port. This is a post-Covid change. There are varying reports of the attention given the time by the staff at different ports. In Barcelona last fall it was checked closely. In fact, we arrived exactly on time, but had to wait outside for about 10 minutes due to the # still in the terminal. Of course, everyone was tested at the port so had to wait 20 minutes or so post testing for results to be cleared to finish check in and then board. My choice for our upcoming cruise is to arrive during our window or maybe 10 minutes early. I don’t choose to risk encountering strict port staff and having to wait outside, standing, for an extended time in whatever weather. The sooner you check in when it opens (usually 45 days before), the better selection of times .
  17. Your photos are spectacular! Thank you for sharing. I look forward to those from tomorrow’s cruising of the Sound.
  18. You won’t really be able to “do” much via the app til closer, but if you want to reserve something that might sell out, i.e. first night discount for a specialty restaurant, book it on the website now. As has been mentioned, if you change your mind, cancel . . refund of OBC is virtually immediate, and if by credit card, it is also quick.
  19. I feel certain you’ve considered, but how port intensive is your itinerary? In most ports, it is usually easy to find free internet (perhaps only the cost of a cup of coffee or other beverage). I realize that if there are many sea days, that might not be a feasible alternative.
  20. I plan to enjoy the cruise, but last October we woke in Barcelona to get ready to board Apex. On FB, I saw a post by daughter (AU and A &M fan😳) in Texas (7 hours behind us) talking about what a great game😳. Kinda happy I didn’t have to suffer through that one.
  21. Now I feel stupid as I couldn’t figure it out so ended up using the plug by the bedside table and looking I the mirror across the room 😳🙄
  22. We were on Apex for 14 nights last fall, and loved it! No in-your-face entertainers. We loved dinner in Eden and could hear only some soft music from the bar area one deck up. I had also read there were not enough quiet areas to read or watch the sea go by; however, we found quiet nooks on the ramp in Eden several times. We are booked on Beyond in October and looking forward to it!
  23. Yes. We had planned to watch on the app in our Barcelona hotel, but spent more time people watching on La Ramblas from our balcony. Once onboard, headed to our stateroom to drop carry-ones and secure valuables in the safe. On the stateroom TV, you have the opportunity to indicate which passengers are watching. Took maybe 5 minutes and then to our Muster Station and lunch. Truly easy!
  24. You should have been provided your locator #. If the airline allows seat selection before payment, then you should be able to. Many airlines do not allow seat selection until payment. When I booked our open-jawed flights for our October cruise back in January, the agent described the plane configuration and asked me if I had a preference for seat location. Once I told him what we preferred, he selected seats and provided all that info to me on the phone as well as in an email which he waited til I received it before ending the call. I can actually go into the airline sites (different airlines for going and returning) and change seat assignments if I want.
