  1. I needed to contact CUNARD to help correct and add additional items to the VP for the coming sailing. I called a few minutes ago and without waiting connected with a Very Professional Rep. who assisted me with kindness and patience. She also verified procedures for testing before boarding in Brooklyn. BTW.... Telling her about our difficulty to log on and complete this task myself on my computer and hearing all your issues, she also hoped that the Central Office would tell to IT to look into it and resolve it. Hope all would receive the kind service I did when they call.....
  2. Well it must be my lucky day, got thru Cunard without any wait to add and correct something in the VP. Extremely nice and professional service on this call. Wish everyone got this response.
  3. Thank you tv24. We do have it on our list of other items to tableside preparation made. Hamburgers sounds good it at the Boardwalk since so many other items are listed. But will keep in mind. So much we have heard that the Grill Concierge can be so helpful over the Purser. So we are good forward to the Lounge for tea not that we have anything against the elegant Queens Room Tea time. BTW---- If we have guests we meet on board, can we invite them in the Grill Lounge for tea or just us? Same as for Cocktails? Attending the Grill Terrace, do they serve Old Style Bouillon? What other goodies may be offered? Thank you again.
  4. Imacruizer, Thank you! I always remember you when I enter the Gangway of the Queen. Hopefully the book is in place so I can easily find it and bring it to the CC Meet & Greet the first day at sea.We will plan a get together and encourage all to add their thoughts. Some are repeaters and some are Newbie's. So their words will sail with the QM2 always. I know there are plenty of pages still in the book as I remember it. I PROMISE to report back on return or if I can post while on board.
  5. Thank you for posting. We now have something to look at before next cruise in September
  6. Jane, Hope you enjoyed the 4th Sailing. And so happy you enjoyed the PG class also. Bev thought asking a general questions would give us all the advice we are getting. I hope you don't mind me to ask you if we have any questions of your experiences from Brooklyn CT to On Board in PG Category. It great to have someone that walked the footsteps as we will. We expect the Lounge to be very helpful when the Deck 2 can draw a line down there from all decks.
  7. sfred, Thank you! Yes we look forward to tea in the Grill Lounge. We truly enjoyed tea there in the past on the QE2. We will able I guess still select other type of teas freshly brewed like when we were on the QE2 in their lounge. Elegant difference from Queens Room and very enjoyable.
  8. Many thanks BigM! Can shorts be worn during Breakfast and Lunch in the Princess Grill? Since the rest of the day will be outside activities and touring?
  9. Well yesterday we got a email to complete some items on the Voyage Personaliser and noticed that our Cabin Assignment was visited by the "Upgrade Fairy" since the last time I looked. I verified it on our Booked Guests page and so delighted of the Upgrade to P2 - Princess Grill Class for the first time on the Queen Mary 2. Last time we enjoyed Princess &/ Queens was on the QE2. Enjoying 14 days is exciting for my DW and I. Since we will be experiencing the PG for the first time on the Mary 2, is there any advice from fellow Cruise Critics we would be interested in. Perks, in the Cabin, Grill Restaurant and etc... Thank you in advance....
  10. Think there is a thread on Roll Call ready...maybe you wish to join it.

  13. It's wonderful if made right. Dad made it and I have it now the recipe for Baked Beans in a tomato BBQ sauce that was produced with Fat Back. Biggest treat beside the White Beans he used in the recipe was the Juicy Tender Fat Back. We used to fight over.
  14. If going to Halifax we enjoy very much Salty's along Harbor Walk. We go on each visit and looking forward this September
  15. Away in the Hudson Valley of NY. Last year had the greatest find. Basil Ice Cream. Enjoyed many time. Today offered Strawberry Basil Sorbet. What's your honest opinion? Opted for Chef's Bread Pudding of the Day. Sorry Basil IC not available.
  16. Homemade Cranberry Juice is nice for a short time. Have to control the tartness.
  17. Pls be safe...... New York is New York......New Yorkers are New Yorkers... Unfortunately 5 incidents happened yesterday and the beat goes on.....
  18. EM more bread like and CPT has a spongy texture. Both great toasted for Devon Butter & Jam.....
  19. When we are on the QM2, we don't get English Muffin but crumpets. If you need it English Muffins are available but Crumpets are great with their English Jams. When on the Queen, we get a choice of breads in a basket. The same that are in the Kings Court Buffet. My favorite is their Pretzel Rolls w Sea Salt topped. Scones not till Tea Time.
  20. My Sauteed Mushrooms contain no less 5 mushrooms we are lucky with all the markets we have locally.
  21. Back to "Old Broadway".... Our favorite French Restaurant before shows is on French Row called Le Rivage. We have been going there for Decades with wonderful dishes. The family is very cordially from entering inside the Door. One dish my Dad enjoyed Lobster Bisque, I enjoy the Country Pate, French Onion and too many entree's to mention....
