  1. Thought it would be fun posting the recent departure of the Queen Mary 2 from NY Harbor passing under the VZ Bridge. Wanted the videos and photos to be clearer but we were under a Thunderstorm Warning by NOAA Weather. 20220805_1827431.mp4 20220805_1829182.mp4
  2. Queen Mary 2 in today leaving within next hour. Great reviews for food last two sailings.
  3. As the coming sailing approaches we do as on past sailings of 9, 11, 13 now 14 day.. We Bell Curve thru the days to pace ourselves. Not to go for broke and enjoy everything with not a final result of challenging the scale at home. Is that the real numbers I see? Bell Curves work very well + pacing.
  4. Thank you... Glad u enjoyed BC, our favorite. Get ready arriving in the Big Baked Apple tomorrow..We are in a High Heat, Humid trend till Sunday. Could be uncomfortable tomorrow near 100 temperature not including Heat Index. Different than crossing the Pond...
  5. They would be happy for your USD donation to their economy. Your may get Canadian back in some cases unless you try too ask.
  6. Enjoy BC, our favorite cabin selection. We enjoy our BC table set and freedom of dining in the evening. You could still experience the other dining locations if u wish.
  7. Soon sailing on board, just reviewing all the new features on board we hadn't experienced yet. One is the new feature called "My Voyager". Haven't been on board to experience it yet, what is your remarks, experiences and comments with it's use. How useful is it?
  8. Going to a resort in the last several years their menu consisted Starter, Appetizers or Salad or Soup, Entree then Dessert. We could ask for additional Appetizer selections like a Salad to cleanse before the Entrée.
  9. Ditto with your description. That's why we like it. We still pass thru Main Dining Room. ENJOY!
  10. We enjoyed the Britannia Club in the past and was looking forward on the coming sailing. But Upgrade Fairy blessed us with a Upgrade to Princess Grill and Cabin. Looking forward to a Princess Service. But we were very happy on the many Britannia Club sailings and the food with the extra A La Cart menu added each day for our enjoyment. I would recommend anyone who wishes to try it, do so.
  11. Queen Mary 2 offers 3 course. Starter, Entree w accompany salad and Dessert. We have seen something on the menu we would like to try besides our entree and they are kind to bring it to try.
  12. We are sailing on Sept 23 and did not get a brochure. When are you sailing? Would not want to miss out receiving it. Thank you. Could be very informative...
  13. Not This House - Bottled KC........we like speciality and different. Enjoy making TS homemade. Adds a fresh flavor. Enjoy and a few ingredients I use. The only commerical TS we use to like was the one Nathan Famous Hot Dog in Coney Island use to use. For their Seafood Section like Fried Shrimps, Scallops, Soft Shell Crab etc.... Agree with Hellman's Mayo. Once got confused with Salad Dressing in the Mayo section, Oh Boy! I think it's a European thing. Are you talking about Mrs Paul's FS.....We like them but prefer the local Seafood store FS..Not popular Gordon's.
  14. Once you try it and the ingredients in the prep it all works together. Meaning out the garden is fresh and different from commercial preps with additives and extenders.
  15. Unfortunately I don't want to knock any company but we have the BEST ketchup in the USA. Made in Brooklyn.....Sir Kensington Ketchup. It taste like the tomatoes out of the garden. I have converted many ketchup lovers to this brand. Very little of the stuff commercial companies put into it. It's the only KC used in the house for Hamburgers, Meatloaf, Salad Dressings and many, many and many more dishes. I love just take a spoon full to taste.
  16. We use it on Fries with Fish & Chips. Also on Fish too besides homemade tartar sauce.
  17. I remember getting the pin at the 1964 World Fair in NYC...
  18. Spinach and egg - no go.... Smoke Salmon first time worked. I was given HB on the side not to mix with the eggs. Still can't believe it's hard to make a hollandaise sauce by others, no problem doing so. Have to keep the English Muffin dry slight toasted to seal to absorb. Wet disaster!
  19. Is it just this thread? Not reorganizing topics under Cunard Line.
  20. Hi All, Going on a cruise soon and my first breakfast is a proper prepared Eggs Benedict. So many cruiselines, hotels, resorts, and restaurants made Eggs Benedict in their establishment. QM2 makes an exceptional plate. Went to a resort upstate ny and their pre was disappointing. I know there are different preps like Canadian Bacon, Crab meat, Smoke Salmon etc.. What is your favorite Eggs Benedict ingredients? Mines is traditional Poached Eggs, Canadian Bacon or Smoke Salmon and Hollandaise Sauce sprinkle Fresh Chives.
