I didn’t care for Q, having tried it twice. Just my opinion. I get 2 free at sea dinners, 2 Saphire Latitudes dinners, 2 dinners from the offered upgrade, and one dinner with an officer. So the whole week is accounted for. Q not in the plan.
Housekeeping cleaner at an upscale NYC hotel recently told me less than half of guests leave tips. Evidently $300/night for the room is ok, but $3 (or $5) for the housekeeper is too much.
I don’t believe it is rude when you leave a theatre (for whatever reason) as quietly as possible with minimal disruption to the performance and to other attendees.
Interesting. In 10 NCL cruises, typically arriving between 12:00 and 1:00, I have never seen the open MDR more than half full and I have always been seated immediately. As for what to do, I am never without my Kindle.
In my experience, NCL has offered duplicate lessons and games (with a director) only on transatlantic cruises.
The pool in the small haven is a swim-against-the-current endless lap exercise pool. It is about the only place in the fleet to get in a real swim.
My (adult) daughter will be sailing with us out of Miami on the Gem next month in her own club balcony suite. It will be her introduction to cruising. Is there any way to send flowers to her cabin upon embarkation?
I know that many people enjoy the escargots and onion soup at Le Bistro. I don’t. I find the only flavor of the escargots is the garlic while mopping up the liquid with bread. The soup is thin and the cheese wholly inadequate. It doesn’t come close to crusting the rim of the bowl and it, too, is lacking in flavor. I acknowledge that both are popular choices.
