    Don’t upgrade. The Haven 2-bedroom is fine for a family of two adults and two kids, but in my opinion is unsuitable for six, particularly if more than two adults. Would you put your mother on the couch bed with another person?

    I suggest the Star out of New York to Halifax, St. John’s, St. Pierre-Miquelon (French islands), Greenland (3 stops) and Iceland (3 stops). Follow up with a few days in London.

    In 10 cruises I have found reserving a table in the MDR to be a complete waste of time. Usually seated immediately and never had to wait more than 15 minutes—with or without a reservation.

    1. Shrimp and mussels on ice with cocktail sauce in the buffet. 2. Carved whole pig (snout to tail) on spit in the buffet.

    I love lamb chops. Modernos chops are a disappointment. The best thing in Modernos is the salad bar.

    Leave devices home. Bring books or a Kindle.

    The NCL App lists the entertainment for your cruise.

    Evenings into night, you will find me reading my Kindle in the library.

    Both working perfectly.

    Interesting. I really enjoy French onion soup and dining at Le Bistro, but find Le Bistro’s French onion soup to be really poor.

    More of a a ristorante than a trattoria.

    I have never made MDR reservations. At busiest times, sometimes had to wait a few minutes to be seated.

    Leave the internet devices at home. Bring books or a Kindle.

    Nearly all NCL cruises terminating in Boston come from international destinations. Baggage has to go with you through customs.

    NCL will not credit a cruise after 12 months. 1974 seems to be more than 12 months ago.

    If you are in a balcony or lower, dining reservations open at 120 days before embarkation.

    Have to wait until invited to bid on upgrade. Usually a couple of months before cruise.

    Never found a studio I didn’t like.

    Meant capers, not chives. In any event, I enjoyed the MDR breakfast with some OJ.

    Smoked salmon on toasted half bagel with cream cheese, tomato and chives available daily in the MDRs.

    Four NCL ports in Florida. Lots of sun and hot weather in the Caribbean.

    Complimentary.

    Where are all the cruises from Ohio round trip? Cleveland through the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway into the Atlantic.

    Bring a Kindle loaded with books.
