  2. The reason they gave for the cancellation of my cruise is that the ship will stay in the Caribbean because of popular demand. Go figure… Ivi
  3. I am quite disappointed about the cancellations. Of course the reason is probably that they are not selling enough cabins on those itineraries being cancelled. I am quite tired of cancellations from flights, trains, cruises… I need to have a reliable cruise line to book with. Even though they offer compensation, this compensation does not make up for the lost itinerary and it is not as generous because prices of cruises have already increased since my original booking.   10. Despite that on this email sent on April 28th, it mentions the OBC issues being fixed, unfortunately as of today May 13th the onboard credits are still not visible. Ivi
  11. At the previous Azamara web page there was a category listed for solo discounts. I have looked at the new page for this category and it does not exist. Is this part of the issues that Azamara is having with the new web page or Azamara has dropped this category on purpose? Ivi
  12. Unfortunately with many cruise lines their booking pages do not show the actual availability. It appears the cruise lines want to sell first the less attractive cabins (forward or back cabins). After some time they release other cabins. Can you input somewhere your preferred cabin number? Ivi
  13. I see you have got good suggestions. Unfortunately the prices of the hotels in Italy have jumped up. I was trying to book a hotel for Rome for two nights before my cruise and several hotels are fully booked or are very expensive. Because of that, and having been in Rome several times for extended periods of time, I have decided to book at an airport hotel (Hilton) and transfer from there to Civitavechia. Even that hotel, which has quite disappointing reviews is selling at high prices. Supply and Demand 😔 Ivi
  14. Meaning we can still get infected but all care and responsibilities are our own. Government are not paying anymore for vaccines, research, and whatever they were paying before. It is up to us to protect us, the same way we protect ourselves from other contagious diseases. Ivi
  15. I have got that email. I was able to log in today after resetting my password. My booking is there as well as the shore excursions I have booked. But the on board credit has disappeared and for the shores excursions it appears if I owe money. Does this sounds familiar to others? My cruise is at the end of June. Shall I just wait or get in touch with Azamara? Ivi
  16. This sounds good for Explora. I hope Azamara manages to keep its good people. Several have left for other cruise lines. Ivi
  17. As Diamond members with MSC we were able to benefit from some temporary offers at Explora. I do not know if some offers will be available because of this status. We will just be monitoring… Ivi
  18. After just debarking from an MSC ship in which the announcements were made in several languages, many times per day, I am still wondering if at the Explora ships will be the same. Ivi

  22. Another update on this. After we thought everything was clarified, my husband received another email apparently from the Assignees indicating that he has to fill another form, with additional information and submit the claim again (!) which actually does not make sense because the information on this new form does not apply for my husband’s claim. Irritating in this process is that the emails come without signature, so one does not know who is writing. We will see how this continues. Ivi
  23. Yes, my husband and me also got the message. We will not test in Santos anymore. Their message is valid imho. They might take some time to adjust the webpage. But since we have all received the message (ours was in German) I see no reason to test anymore. Ivi
  24. There was never a need of a PCR for Brazil. For the Grand Voyage there was the requirement of either PCR or antigen. As per the message we have all received, there is no need of any kind of covid test anymore if we are vaccinated for our Grand Voyage. Ivi
