  1. Did you upgrade to a suite? Or did you get the suite through Move Up? I once booked Aqua then upgraded to a suite. Once onboard the Micheals Club concierge printed a new seapass card with PALL. If you won your bid through Move Up you normally keep the drink package from your original cabin. CALL is classic drink package. PALL is premium drink package.
  2. We were invited by a CC host to a dinner with X staff in TG on Reflection. We had 10 to 12 at our table. The table or tables were in the open space as you enter TG. I would book 2 tables and talk to the maitre d once onboard. I think E Class has Tuscan Restaurant part of the 4 restaurants that make up the MDR's.
  3. Enjoy free valet service from the port of Seattle. https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free
  4. We always inform the maitre d in Luminae, if we wont be dining their for dinner.
  5. We booked the 24 Sept 2023 Pacific Coastal cruise on Eclipse a while ago. I just book a cabin for my MIL and her sister. The OP is comparing past X food with current X food. We have sailed 5 times with X since the restart. 2 were in Aqua and 3 in suites. Blu was good both times. Luminae was a different story. Our last cruise was Sept 2022. The food quality just was not up to par. My thoughts were "Oh Richard you have just dined to many times in Luminae". I did have a great thick prime rib in Luminae from the MDR menu. Also Sushi on 5 was very good. Then Jan 2023 and X announcing food changes. Was X already making changes before the Jan announcement. The one complaint about the Lunch Buffet is the East Indian food the past 1 or so have had more fish dishes and very little chicken dishes. Looking forward to our Sept cruise.
  6. We have asked a couple of time in Luminae about tomato soup at lunch. Both times we were told no kids lunch menu.
  7. I'm not sure how this will change my bookings. Yes, things do happen in life. In Jan X made drastic changed to the food and seems like quality of food also. So I canceled 3 cruises booked in suites for this year. I normally book early to get the suite I want. Because of the changes I'm hoping more suites will be available closer to sailing. Our next cruise is in Sept. The total cost for a CS is $6895. Guest #1 cost is $5368, Guest #2 cost is $1526. So the deposit would be G#1 $536.80 and G#2 $250 = $786.80. While we like cruising, if the suites are not available we will just spend the money allotted on land vacations. Might look at European river cruise for 2025. Other thought is to book Aqua with cruise later deposit and move to a suite closer to sailing. Then pay the added deposit.
  8. We have cruised a number of times with British friends (Alaska and Asia). They asked for a kettle for their suite and it was not a problem. Just bring your own tea.
  9. I dont know, but I found this. https://www.myvirtualvacations.net/menus.html
  10. I have to agree. We tell the hostess that we dont want to sit in the 2 tops near the window in Blu. While you do have a little more space in Luminae. We still ask not to be seated at the window. The only time I have a hard time finding something to eat for dinner is in Luminae on the Edge March 2019. Friends have booked Apex for Iceland June 2024. Being with friends is more important than my dislike of Edge class Luminae.
  11. I believe a TA can form a group with just 2 cabins.
  12. 1st I look at dress code. If I have to wear a suit or sports jacket to dinner in any of the restaurants I'm not going to book. 2nd I look at ship size. I stay away from very large ships and small ships. 2000 guest is a good number for us. 3rd I look where the suites are located. I dont want my suite fwd. Mid ship to aft. 4th is cost. As we have been on many cruises. It is more about the ship than where it is going.
  13. ASS 6145 and 6146 are different than the other sky suites. Other sky suites only have one sink. No separate shower. Personally I would only book those suites if I need more room in the PH or I knew the guests in the PH. X has removed the player piano from the PH's on the Summit and Millie. Thank Kelly Hoppen for the furniture. My pet peeve is chairs without armrests. Not that I need them to get out of the chair. It is more about comfort and somewhere to put my arms. The kicker is on the Edge in a sky suite. The chair for the small deck has armrests, but with the armrest on the chair you could not slide the chair all the way in.
  14. Was your Celebrity Suite on the M Class or S Class ship. I remember something about M Class Celebrity Suite. That the balcony was not on the original build. What I like about M Class is that most of the suites are in the same area on deck 6.
  15. Back in the day....... LOL. Yes, the year was 1984. With a letter from the company I worked for. I went to the Seattle federal building at 10am and picked up my 1st passport at 4pm the same day.
  16. It is my understanding that sailing the Caribbean on a closed loop cruise all you need is valid ID (Drivers License) and a legal birth certificate. Best to check with Celebrity. https://www.google.com/search?q=Celebrity+cruise+ships+valid+ID+for+closed-loop&gs_ivs=1#tts=0
  17. We were on Millie Seward to Vancouver last June. What a great cruise. Enjoy!
  18. train https://www.google.com/search?q=Rotterdam+to+Amsterdam+by+train&gs_ivs=1 Taking the train is the fastest way to travel from Rotterdam to Amsterdam. Trains depart from Rotterdam's Centraal train station and arrive at Amsterdam Centraal train station after as little as 37 minutes of travel time.
  19. Within the app you can change the sailing date. Eclipse starts cruising out of Vancouver BC on May 21st. The menus should be the same for the whole Alaska season. I just checked and Celebrity has not listed the menus yet on the app for May 21st. Even after I updating the app. You would think that X would have the menus listed as it is less than a week away.
