  1. Just off the Sky a few weeks back. DH got his espresso every morning at the coffee bar in the buffet. It's kind of in one of the middle aisles. Just wander....you'll find it! It will be very convenient for you since you will be on the Lido deck.

  3. I had a similar thing happen on our last cruise. DH decided to go grab a drink at a bar and I decided to take a shower. While in the shower, I heard someone come in the room and say hello. They dropped a notice on the bed. I couldn't lock the cabin door since DH was coming back. However, I was glad that I did think to lock the bathroom door while I was in there. From now on, I'll try and remember the DND button..... 😮
  4. We haven't used the app to order beverages to our room, so can't speak to using that. However, I would think you could order at least 2 at a time. I would say just pick up 2 at most bars each time you go back to your room and stock up. If you are traveling with someone, have them pick up 2 at the same time. It might depend on the ship, but we have found San Pellegrino at all bars we have visited. Certainly as the cruise progresses, it is possible for one or more to run out, at least temporarily. (Ask for them to be unopened.)
  5. This needs to be updated... It recently changed to "Take 1 year to book your next cruise". ....and it is really EASY to do it onboard in the app.
  6. It's up to you, but if you want to, you'll have to bring cash. You don't get a bill or anything. When you are done, you just leave. The cost for many of the pizzas now are $8.50, if that matters.
  7. Really no point in them having Vines any more. Their wine selection (at least for white wine drinkers) is so poor, not sure why they need a wine bar..... 🤷‍♀️
  8. I guess you can have people on any ship who don't pay attention to what they are supposed to be doing.....can't quite see how that is the fault of the ship or the cruise line..... Just off 2 wonderful weeks on the Sky. Like all ships, it has it's pluses and minuses, but we look forward to being back on her again in February! No one at our muster station except us when we went there.... Our favorite place was on the Aft pool deck. This cruise had LOTS of kids though, so I imagine some people wouldn't like that as I will say, they were often pretty noisy. 😄

  10. Download Whatsapp now before you get on the ship and also have your shipmates do it. Try it out now so you know how to use it before you get on the ship. It's pretty straight-forward.
  11. Just off 2 weeks on the Sky. We had the Plus 50 package. To my surprise (and delight), canned sodas were included in our package. This was true at 3 different bars and I was never charged for them. The first time it happened, they just brought me a can and I said, oh no that's not part of my package. The server insisted it was. I got to know one of the bartenders pretty well and he also said canned sodas were included. YMMV. 🤷‍♀️
  12. Is the message that you are getting something like this: "Guests with a errors" and your name? I had this problem with a cruise last March for a February 2024 cruise. I called Princess and the same thing happened to the representative on the phone. She decided it was because I'm not within 180 days of the trip. 🙄 I told her that I am sure I have booked other excursions earlier than that. She agreed that she had seen that too, but thought that was the issue. Just a side note....I did try and pick any other random excursion and same thing. I also tried picking my husband instead. Same thing. Then I logged in and tried booking an excursion on another cruise that is more than 180 days out. It worked great. I never did really resolve the issue. However, I just kept trying once a week and eventually it let me book it. That was in April I think (so still more than 180 days out). There seems to be some weird random bug that sometimes happens. You could try and call Princess---maybe by now they know how to fix it.....or just try it once a week and maybe it will 'magically' resolve itself....
  13. We were just on the 2023 Norway cruise that was originally scheduled for Longyearbyen, but changed about 9 months ago to a different port.   15. Got the same email today....sail on Saturday. Also have not received THAT email......for either this cruise, the next 2 in 2023 or the next one in 2024... I'm in the U.S. Booked the 2023 ones direct and the 2024 one through a CVP.
  16. Never seen it...but.... Based on the most recent experiences, it might be risky to buy an 'on sale' drink package....you never know what it will actually include by the time you sail....
  17. You still have the Plus plan (the old version). You only need to upgrade IF you want all the "NEW" features, some of which used to be free. You can also pay for only those things when/if you use them, which for most people is cheaper than upgrading.
  18. This really makes no sense.....did you go look in the buffet to confirm? That's what I would do. All this would accomplish is horrendous crowds at the International Cafe.....
  19. Yeah...not the way it happened for me and DH.....but these days it seems like a proposal has to be an 'event' .... I think it makes it a lot more difficult for the guy---or whichever one is doing the proposing... Finally found something that says the cost is $795. It doesn't seem worth it to me.....but DS wants to make her happy....so.....? I suppose the cost is associated with the people involved in the setup. One would hope the 'Stateroom gifts and goodies" wouldn't be there until after the proposal. It's her first cruise, so I figured he can't go wrong no matter what he does....but what do I know? 🤷‍♀️
  20. Just found out DS is planning on popping the question to his girlfriend on a cruise next year. He's trying to decide a 'good' way to do it. Has anyone had any experience with this package? Was it worth it?
  21. THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!!! I thought I recalled that it screwed off, but had a hard time doing it so thought maybe I was wrong. Once you confirmed that for me, I got it to work! It seemed like almost a press and turn motion, but got it done. Perfect. Thanks!
  22. I have one of the sustainable wrist straps to hold my medallion. I just got my medallion in the mail for my next cruise. I am not quite sure how to take the medallion from the last cruise out and put the new one in. It's been a while since my last cruise. I don't want to break it. It seems like it is magnetized in, but is there a way to pop it out, or does it unscrew somehow? Thanks for your help!

  24. One would think that would be the case. YMMV. On our last cruise (one cabin), I set it up, my name was first, it was my credit card and yet, DH could see my account and his. However, I could only see my own.....sheesh... 🤷‍♀️
  25. When you go to the meeting place for the excursion, just all go together. That way if there are multiple buses, you can tell them there are x number of people in your party and they will be sure to get you on the bus together. Just be sure to book the same times if there are multiple times available when doing the booking of the excursion.
