  1. Unfortunately yes , not only the occasional game , but Robes, Towels and anything else they fancy 😉
  2. Clarification Re the Games ; My reliable Cunard source informs me, "'Due to 'one or two' unscrupulous Cunard guests who occasionally remove them into their luggage" "This method allows everyone to enjoy them" 😉
  3. Well unfortunately it didn't last long 🥲 Masks for crew members are back on with effect from today 25th.
  4. Silversea are also on the Ball too , with their Captains reception and Loyalty receptions, including ( I witnessed) the occasional officer dining with guests in the evening . Saga have been on the Ball with their receptions for several weeks now .
  5. The members of the entertainment team will arrange these activities , one just needs to make a request weather permitting.
  6. Anyone who complains of being bored onboard a Cunard ship is certainly working at it 😉
  7. Entertainment during sea days; Cunard Line is one of the very few cruise lines left that provides 'live music around the ship'. Live music every evening in the Queens Room, the Golden Lion pub, piano music or soft jazz in the Commodore club. There is a Classical Trio that often play in and around the Grand Lobby or during Afternoon Tea. There is often live music out on the aft deck during sail away ( weather permitting) Other activities or entertainment include; Insight lectures ( usually three a day) Dance lessons/ Zumba/line dancing/ a daily quiz /Bingo/ Bridge groups / Classical piano recitals occasionally . Occasionally there is a Tea Dance during afternoon tea in the Ball Room. In fact there will be so much to keep you occupied that you will be running from one venue to another ! Top tip, Take a highlighter pen with you to highlight your daily programme.
  8. Bombay & Fevertree are considered as premium, one needs to be ordering Gordons & Schweppes, unless the Bar tender is prepared to charge on two separate receipts . One of the reasons I've never bothered with a 'Drinks Package', I very rarely drink alcohol in the day unless it's lunch ashore. I do enjoy a very good premium Martini, pre dinner and one is enough before I hit the wine package in the restaurant .
  9. This probably won't please everyone, but it looks as if good times may be coming back. Just seen on social media photos of a couple of Cunard snr officers enjoying pre dinner drinks with various guests in the public venues. It appears the good old times are back , time to get those Cocktail Receptions and Club Word receptions organised again especially for the upcoming World Cruises. No doubt there will be a barrage of replies from folks who will say they wouldn't dream of attending these events, that's perfectly ok, More room for me to work the floor.
  10. Just to add to my post above; it's now too late to mention that it would have been better to purchase the drinks package whilst onboard the first afternoon and have it set up to start for the second day . I understand most people prefer to pay as you go for the 'first evening' as it depends on what time of the day one eventually embarks onboard the ship. Personally I've never purchased a drinks package , however, I aways purchase a 'Wine package' for the restaurant . I've often noticed the hassle some guests have ( with their drinks package) in the restaurant trying to catch the attention of the Sommelier when they need another glass of wine. I much prefer my wine handy for the Sommelier in the ice bucket almost adjacent to the table , rather than the Sommelier having to go running off to the galley bar dispensary .
  11. Well yes, you've almost answered your own question , occasionally you will need to glance at the drinks menu ( in the various public venues) to see what is within the $12 maximum. The bar waiter staff & restaurant sommeliers are very helpful and will advise you if a drink of your choice is over the limit.
  12. Yes, this question re crew vaccination has been covered somewhere on these boards before.
  13. Good Luck 😉 I doubt you'll return .
  14. Well there you go Safarigal 😅 you should be sticking with our beloved Cunard ...... You are far too sophisticated for Fred .😉
  15. It was announced ( via several folks at present on QM2) that it came into effect on the 17th October .
  16. What position did he hold ( in what department ) ?
  17. No they not back, however, anyone on Q.Vic 30th Oct I'll be in the Ballroom most evenings 😉 Earlier this year I was danced off my feet, whilst several ladies' husbands were losing vast amounts in the Casino.
  18. I'm completely the opposite , I have to admit I have an obsession with the iron. I have a ritual every evening at 6pm when onboard, I have to run an iron over the folds of my shirts for the evening, I even carry a tin of spray starch for the Double Cuffs , I also have to press out the creases from the seat of my trousers if I'm wearing the same suit from the previous evening. I'm often seen nipping along the corridor to the laundry room in a Towelling Robe every evening at six . 🤭
  19. Thanks Hattie , yes that was I was referring to
  20. Done four post pandemic cruises Mac and always had an email , just had another one on Tuesday for my Oct 30th trip. If I could get my head around to post photos , I'd post it on here. There must be other members on here who have received a similar email , perhaps they could post a copy of their notification .
  21. You will receive an Email advising you ........" Online check-in is open for you " ......Just wait for an email to be sent to you . Stop fretting about anything , Worry more about how many pair of shoes you'll need to pack . 😉 By the way, I'm also on this cruise , you don't dance by the way do you .
  22. The deck plan is not really specific to the actual size of tables , there are several large tables on both decks that can easily seat from up to 6/8/10 .
  23. We've got the Gist ! As with any 'All Inclusive' cruise, you/we have already paid for this in the original booking, sorry there is no such thing as a free Lunch ! I've just disembarked from Silversea ...Champagne & Caviar on tap 24/7 ........it cost me a Bob or two.
  24. Exactly Hattie, and no problems requesting something special in the Britannia or Britannia Club restaurants. ( within 10 mins of requesting - or better still by prior arrangement) Had no problem in August 2021 in PG restaurant whilst celebrating my breakfast Birthday .
