  1. I looked at it. You are near the center elevators which is a good place to be. Use this elevator to get most anywhere including off the ship and the Ocean view cafe or Mast Grill is only 1 flight of stairs up or down. Yes you bar under the pool deck which is not the best but it looks like you are under a table area not a lounge chair area and in Alaska the pool area does not get as much use. It might not be to bad. Not a lot going on up their in sleeping hours.
  2. Maybe we are different but why did you not just not take your fight as scheduled and book a extra night in Orlando? Probably cheaper than moving your flight.
  3. I know most are not happy but let’s be a realist. It Thanksgiving weekend. If you were flying in on Sat or even a Sunday it is not like you can simply rebook for a day later.
  4. I have taken 17 cruises and only twice flown in day of stressed both times. On the last one we were cruising out of San Juan in Jan with a later all aboard of 6pm. We had a 6am flight out of Louisville with connection in Orlando. Snow in Louisville but our plane made it in the night before and we left on time. Thought I was home Free. Landed at MCO and immediately got a text from SW. 2 hour delay. Then another 1 hour delay. Seems that our connection flight was snowed in at Buffalo. Finally left 4 hours late. We made it to the ship at 5:15. We were almost the last on the ship.
  5. You are looking at this wrong. The money you used to buy 100 shares is an investment you can sell back at any time. No different than any other investment . The cabin credit are just a bonus. I purchased 100 shares for $33 per share. It is now worth $59 per share I have made $260if I sell it.
  6. We have a family cruise book on the Beyond in March. I have sailed on the Edge and it was fun but far from my favorite ship. My dad really wanted to sail on the Beyond or we would be on the Reflection for much less money.
  7. Our last ship had both metal and non metal walls. You might find a metal one. Also usually the ceilings are metal.
  8. I have taken 3 cruises from Royal in the last 12 months. Every cruise had an e-mail similar to above about the vaccine or testing requirements I have no doubt the OP was told wrong by CS but I also bet the OP received the email as well. .
  9. I took three cruises this year. 2 on Royal And just last week on the Connie. I think the MDR food on Celebrity might have been a bit better but I thought the menu was more limited than RCL. I would say Speciality Dinning was about equal. That said if you are on an Oasis class ship I like the I like the extra dinning options. The Mast Grill on Celebrity has great Burgers and Dogs pool side which is something RCL does not have.
  10. I like to see new things on the menu but I still like the nightly classic Items as fall back. Sometimes there is just a choice I want.
  11. Royal could take lesson from the Celebrity Constellation. We were on last week. The ship was sold out. For My Time Dinning they did something I had not seen on ship before. You went to the host stand and they checked you in. Gave you a wait estimate and a beeper. Instead of standing in line we could go into the clubs and bars and wait. So much more pleasant in my opinion.
  12. Renovations at the pool on Paradise Beach are finished. Very good service last week.
  13. We were at Paradise Beach last Wed. There was 7 ships in port including the Oasis. it is a nice beach with lots of inflatables for the kids. Great pool as well and they had good service. The pool was pretty crowded but we ocean and inflatables were not that crowded. FYI there is a few underwater rocks in the shallow water. Did not seem to bother many but I put my water shoes on the second time in and was much more comfortable walking. Might just be I have soft feet. We would go here again.
  14. Krazy Lobster is free to get in including Lounge chairs but they expect you to spend some money on food and drinks. It is not all inclusive. You could probably spend about $20. The all inclusive places are in the same area. They have a little more sand in their beach . We had a great time last week and it was a bargain.
  15. Just at the Krazy Lobster last week. It was what you were asking for. It has a ok beach, they don’t charge for lounge chairs and the food and drink it pretty good and not expensive. We $10 each way for can with tip. Our tab at Krazy Lobster was about $40 including tip for Lunch for two and drinks. You can see the ship from the beach but I would not walk it.
  16. We were on this same cruise. We enjoyed the cruise and booked it knowing the Connie did not have the major upgrade we had on the Summit on our last M class cruise. That said I would agree the Breakfast Buffet was not the best but we made do. On the last sea day we tried the MDR for breakfast and it was pretty good. I enjoyed Phil Tag as well. I though the Mast Grill had some really good Burgers that were bigger than in the past. The internet was decent. Finally the pagers for your main dinning room were great compared to standing around waiting.
  17. We just got off the Connie on the 11th. Ship was full for our cruise. Interesting your thoughts on the Tuscan Grill. For us I thought the food was really good but the service was very slow. That canned water is from Italy or at least it was on our sailing.
  18. Just sailed on the Connie. Burgers at the Mast Grill seemed bigger and were excellent. A nice surprise. I still wish they offered Chicken as well.
  19. Just a follow up. We went tp the Krazy Lobster today. $4 pp cab ride each way. When we arrived as others said a guy greeted us at the street and took us to some chairs at the beach. The beach is no large but the water was pretty clear with very few rocks. No charge for chairs. We bought $2 Coronas,, and sone really good checken soft tacos. I have been a lot of places and this made for a nice way to spend 4 hours on a port stop.
  20. We are on the Connie today. Our Belize stop was replaced by Costa Maya. I have done no planning and never been to CM. Can we just take a cab and pay as we go at the Krazy Lobster? How is the beach? My wife will be. Happy with a Lounge chair on a clean beach.
  21. What don’t you just put $1000 down as a deposit on a future cruise way out. Later you can either move it to a cruise you want or get a refund.
  22. Thinking it was way under valued I purchased 100 shares for around $36 this summer to get the credits as a bonus. Then it dropped to $32 and I purchased another 105 shares in my IRA thinking the price was crazy low since it was in the $80 range in May. Since this thread started RCL stock has been on a steady climb. Now over $50. I am happy. This week Royal will release Q3 earnings. If they show a profit for the first time since 2020 they may take a big jump. If not they could drop some. Anyone who has cruised this summer know the ships are pretty full. Should be a good report.
  23. FLL is a 30-40 min drive from port but lots of options to get between. I think both airports are nice. I would base decision on price and schedule.
  24. We are sailing on the Connie in a few weeks. On our return we have dead time to kill. Not easy with the luggage. Is there hotel that do day passes..
  25. I like renting a car coming in the day before but You might want to reconsider a car rental and look into a shuttle from the port to Mco. You can do a group shuttle or private shuttle by be to the airport in less than 1 hour. If you rent a car then you have to pick it up and turn it in.
