  1. The number of people who contract it on the ship normally isn’t available unless announced on the ship. The number of people who, like you, tested positive after the cruise certainly isn’t, even if anybody could figure it out.
  2. And even if you’re on the Premium package, you’re likely to get Classic package well brand drinks unless you specify a Premium package brand of liquor when you order.
  3. Just a guess, but I’d say they’re saying it doesn’t have to be a monitored self-test, it can also be one done by a clinic/pharmacy.
  4. Yes, it’s been used by thousands (I would guess).

  6. Evening Chic may be the official title, but I’d say Casual Chic is a more accurate description.
  7. Personally, I would never consider a cruise if I was on immunosuppressants.
  8. I don’t know about Seabourn, but Silversea only has suites. It’s been a few years, but our last Silversea cruise in a Veranda Suite was about the same per day as our last Celebrity cruise in a Sky Suite.
  9. You can be contagious before enough time has elapsed for a test to show a positive result.
  10. Official capacity restrictions were lifted some time ago. The only reason ships were sailing at or around 50% was a lack of passengers willing to sail. That seems to be easing.
  11. You probably won’t have to worry about that with Crystal any more.
  12. Since the federal court ruled the CDC’s public transportation mask mandate to be illegal, the only terminals (air, sea, train, etc.) with mask mandates are those where local authorities decided to do independently. The Biden administration has appealed the ruling, so it may come back at some point.
  13. If you like fresh fruit ask for him to bring you some, room service breakfast is good, he will make specialty dining reservations for you, ask him to empty the mini fridge and put some of your favorite sodas/waters in it, and maybe an adult beverage.
  14. Two days was also my experience on Millennium in April.
  15. The OP. Never mentioned wanting to cancel or trying to cancel, just that compared to the original itinerary, they were getting the short end of the switch. Which seems pretty accurate to me.
  16. As I understand it, the original itinerary was fine, then Celebrity changed it to avoid having to test passengers. So, while Bermuda’s rules are not Celebrity’s fault, their decision to change the itinerary as opposed to conducting covid tests is.
  17. Except that the ship needs to be in Honolulu by Oct 3, so that it can cruise to Australia. It seems unlikely that it would have a month of charters, including one from Vancouver to Honolulu.
  18. Things that are doable with 500-600 passengers aren’t necessarily doable with three or four times as many passengers.
  19. It depends on the cruise, and whether you’re returning to the same port. Our last cruise was Ft Lauderdale-San Diego and everyone had to visit an immigration/customs officer on board before they got off. And how quickly that went depended on the priority you were given by Celebrity. If I remember correctly, the first people got off a little more than an hour after the posted arrival time.
  20. So, originally you weren’t supposed to arrive in Bermuda until the fifth day, or later, of the cruise?
  21. It was the iLounge person that told me. He had a piece of paper with a chart on it showing what the prices were to upgrade. For Elite it was $210($14x15) until day 8 then it dropped.
  22. On our most recent cruise, you couldn’t upgrade by the day, unless possibly the last day or two. It was a 15 day cruise and you had to pay the full (15 day) amount until day 8, then it was 1/2 the full amount from then on.
