  1. I did not see this option before, so gave it a try. Lo and Behold: Download the MedallionClass™ app Don't have a compatible device? Try our web version(opens in a new window) Your booking is not currently available in the Medallion Class app. Please try again later. Your booking may require payment or additional guest details. Use this web site or contact your Travel Agent to review payment and guest details. This cruise is paid for and I am in the Green Lane on the app. Ha Ha
  2. Yes, you will need to request a baked potato. I was able to get it every time I remembered to order one.
  3. The simple answer is no. You can do a few tings on the web. If you have used the medallion since post covid (is there such a thing), some of your information is save (passport, credit cards, etc). Otherwise, you will have to use the Medallion to complete several functions. I am disappointed that they dangled this in front of us only not to make it happen.
  4. Thank you for sharing. I am curious as to what the chocolates (replacement for awful canapés) looked like. Any photos? I really do miss the first night and last night shows in the Princess Theater. But that happened a very long time ago (pre-pre Pandemic). I was on one ship that had the London Pub interactive show in the explorer's lounge. What a hoot that was. But later heard it was very CD specific. Missed Dave Cole's "Upon the Sea" finale. Plus the over the top pre-show by the cruise director staff with balloon tosses and YMCA! Miss the Talent Crew Show. One of the best programs Princess had. So many talented crew members who just loved sharing their talents. Entertainers' solo shows in the Aft Lounge (oh, I forgot...that's been removed). I saw the Crooner's Piano players do a tribute to Sinatra and on a different cruise, a tribute to Gershwin. Not to forget to mention Tiki Dave Surf Show. And where did the classy trios/quartets, violinists, go? Dance bands in the Wheelhouse have been replaced with a mic'd acoustical (now that is a oxymoron). Not all of these cost Princess any money. But a lot changed when Princess decided to split the Cruise Director assignment to create an Entertainment Director and Front of the house Cruise Director. Someone needs to let Princess know that some things do work and should be left alone.
  5. All speculation without fine tuning the sample.
  6. Itinerary T-shirts have been on the Grand, but only on voyages she has been on (Alaska/Mexico). The quality of the T's have gone down. Not as thick and the printing is terrible. I don't know when or already has, changed ship/shop vendors.
  7. Does this mean that there are "actually" @SargassoPirate lots of loyalty passengers still sailing on Princess?
  8. I was wondering about this, but how did you find out numbers? Are these numbers for Land Tours coming aboard cruise ships? Are they testing positive AFTER the ship sets sail? More please.
  9. Good Luck. I was advised that it would take a month. Shocked that I was credited within a week.
  10. And the mystery continues.
  11. Well….wouldn’t you know it, my submission on Monday showed up today. Of course, it did not show up on my cruise for early next year. Will have to re-submit.
  12. Princess will run a very expensive “do it on your own” shuttle to Lahaina. I still don’t understand the “no tendering”. I heard the Royal is going to Lahaina. Rent a car in Kahului. There are a few places to visit nearby (not of interest to me). Otherwise, you are stuck with a mall. Do not try to do Hana on your own.
  13. Now this is interesting. I rarely can see Window Suite options. I can pull up Window Suites, but unable to find which ones are available. Hmmmm. I have no clue as on/off ad blocker.
  14. Did you test with a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test? I have the same timeline and am looking at my options. Thanks.
  15. How will they support Princess Premium package with 2 additional dinners per person if they can't keep both Crown Grill and Sabatini's open on the same night? Will they offer you "non-refundable" OBC? Again, selling products that can not be supported.
  16. I "live chatted" today. Agent said that they are processing June 7th today. Considering today is June 30, I guess I will have to wait 3 more weeks to see it on my account. That would make it about a month from sending in to getting the credit.
  17. Please refresh my memory....how far out are you able to choose your arrival time? Thanks...
  18. I have not been on a Royal Class ship and have no intentions of cruising on one either. If you feel this way about a "smaller" ship, the same can be said about the Royal Class ships with MORE passengers and less public spaces than the Caribbean Princess.
  19. I have seen children/young adults during suite breakfasts and first night/cc dining. I have always stopped by their table to share my observations. Parents are surprised that I had taken notice, but not surprised since they all knew how to behave in public. Maybe more passengers should share their compliments with others who are showing their children what is expected in the real world. We need more parents like this.
  20. Gee....$1 to hold a cruise with zero return or one FCD gets you OBC. Hmmmmm
  21. You have to be "joshing". Isn't that what Cruise CRITIC is here for? my bad....
  22. I can't sign on at all. Are the prices the same as before the $1 deposit?
  23. I checked out a couple of roll calls. The Alaska cruises are pretty tame. My guess is that many are blue cc members who don't know about Cruise Critic. Also, the younger clientele. migrate to twitter (of which I am not a member) and other social media platforms. You do still a lot of pages for longer cruises. I, for one, have stopped trying to organize roll calls for 7 day or less cruises. Interesting observation. Thank you.
