I have heard so many people doing the homeschooling thing so kids can travel at any time.

I think there is a lot of negativiity out there. Since the covid crisis, we have been on 9 cruises - different ships - total of 45 cruises total on Princess. We are with you on the April 16th trip. We have found the food to be excellent, the service to be superior and crew attitudes helpful and simply amazing so don't give up just yet. I think some people tend to post only their negative thoughts...nothing is perfect. Cruising sure beats land travel in my mind. Will maybe see you on the Emerald in April!!!

They gave it to us on our Dec 29th and our Jan 29th cruise....

The gratuity charges are getting out of control...We eat only in the buffet - do not use the dining room at all....we remove the auto gratuity from our account early in the cruise and we hand pay our room steward generously. We also tip bar service in the casino and waiters in the buffet...I think adding all those others is a bit out of line...

You can expect anything. Check the weather a few days before you leave and pack accordingly. WE have been 9 times and going again in June. WE no longer take the ugg boots and heavy jackets....last year it was in the high 70's to 80's at the same time in JUne/ WE always take umbrellas and/or rain jackets....we really have been lucky with sunny spectacular weather every time we went.

Once the ship reaches International waters - about two hours after sailing- the drink package will engage. Because of the ridiculous Texas laws on liquor, only certain brands may be consumed before this and due to this, Princess gives an OBC around $25 to your account. Hope this answers your question. We will be on the March 5th sailing and also were on the Dec 29th and Jan 29th sail.

WE are going in June for the 9th time - I check the weather the week before we leave and then determine what to pack and even then, one never knows!

We always request a win/loss statement for the year - it seems to work out well.

They will hand you the cash and a few weeks later you will get your W-2G form from Carnival Corporation in the mail. I have been pretty lucky the past few trips . No money withheld for taxes....

Love the aft rear balconies but on the royal and regal, the soot is a real issue. It gets everywhere..not sure the soot issue is worth the great view of the wake.

They are going to be very busy at the port with all the pick ups!!!

No way will I pay for medallion delivery....Just tried to order them for our 04/16 Panama canal trip and changed to pick up at port....

I always order my dewars on the rocks at the captains party and it is delivered fast!!

Captain's party drinks are complimentary .

I believe it is only for elite and suite passengers - not sure because we are elite and often go by there at 5pm for an appetizer and a drink. the captain's party in the Vista Lounge is for elite and platinum passengers.

Did the tour with Dora a few years ago - she was wonderful....highly recommend it ..Going again in April but this time will just take a taxi to the old city.

On the ruby, since we have been on her several times in the past few months, the elite lounge is in skywalker's Lounge - deck 17 aft......the Captain's party is in the vista lounge on deck 7 aft. We will be going again on March 5th....the Skywalker's elite lounge is a lovely event.

Just booked the Crown for Alaska in June - all is good!

No way - have done 44 cruises on Princess and have never seen that.

If you have just an email casino offer, you can now book it online even if you want to upgrade. The only time you need to call the casino is for a come back and play offer. this just started this past week to alleviate the hold times. Try it!! It works!!

Princess will also give you a $25.00 inconvenience credit that shows up as OBC. .....on Galveston sailings.

EZ Air tends to be much better on international cruises than domestic flights.

I hope our cruise on the Crown does not take Victoria away - I want to go back to the Buchart Gardens again...they are lovely....we found Prince Rupert to be a bit bland.

We like the elite mini bar....we exchange as needed.

I called back this morning and was on hold for only 30 minutes before I had an answer, but then my casino offer was not entered properly and she must call me back.....I hope so.
