  1. OT so I'll keep this short. Maybe the 'gang' was sick of the rules and just wanted to do their own thing. Couldn't the 'rule have been "have a safe flight home and enjoy today"? If I were cruising with others we'd do our own thing and hopefully meet for dinner. I'm assuming we're not talking about young kids or faltering seniors 🙂
  2. I couldn't agree more.
  3. Wow! Why????? I could LIVE in Barcelona! I'm sorry it was just "OK" for you.
  4. Have you ever had it on potato chips??? We actually have a caviar store here in Seattle and they also like it that way. Tim's Original is their suggestions, but definitely a salted chip. I'd been missing you so glad I found you here 🙂
  5. Do you or would you cruise on other lines? Do you do land trips? Will you do more? TIA
  6. We were booked on a cruise with two days in St. Petersburg that got canceled due to the war in Ukraine. Like you at our age that might not happen ever. We did get to do Israel and even Turkey and they were outstanding. So yes.
  7. I've liked the entire concept of the NoNos.
  8. Nor I. And onshore also. If it's a call we MUST take then we step outside or somewhere private to take the call. I thought that was pretty much the MO these days.
  9. Curious why you're looking specifically at Oceania.
  10. The travel agent we've used included gratuities so nothing for us. And since we like wine with lunch and/or dinner...?
  11. I haven't read all SIX pages 😉 of this but has anyone mentioned that their TA gives them gratuities and/or OBC?
  12. A "guaranty" is system wide. And it isn't truly a guarantee. Rare? You betcha. But people should be aware.
  13. This isn't the article I read but that "guarantee" doesn't mean you can't get denied boarding right at the time of embarkation. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2023/11/30/royal-caribbean-passengers-denied-boarding/71749345007/ We were on a "guaranty" and I honestly kinda freaked out. Our TA appears to have status and got us confirmed. I'll never accept a guaranty again. All of our travel, cruise and other, involves our flying intl long and very long distances. Just my NEVER humble opinion. PS: I can't find my post about this but I got a lot of grief about it .
  14. I had just wondered about that. 🙂
  15. That was our first cruise. The Southern Caribbean. There were pluses and minuses. And I have no interest in ever returning.
  16. 100%. Drive-thru McD's for breakfast! We didn't travel for three years due to covid and life and now have over a million points! I laugh when they send me an email offering 60k points if I get a new card and spend whatever. No thanks.
  17. I think they're talking about "Amazon" the company not the river.
  18. FWIW - which is nothing - it's Pike PLACE Market. Try having lunch at Matt's in the Market right across from the flying fish!
  19. That's great. Thanks for sharing. I do wonder sometimes why the women aren't more low key. We have a favorite evening local news show. The main women is always low-key. Not suits but not wild and crazy dresses or hair. I was in sales at one point and read that people should pay attention to what you're saying, not how you look. But I love that story and that man 🙂
  20. We've done a RT Bergen to Kirkenes on a 100 pax Norwegian ship. I'm glad they're looking after the planet.
  21. Oh, so you have the use of them...from someone else's hand. A tad different.
