  1. I don't know if this is apples to apples, but I use Dashlane as a password manager. On Royal's site, I do have to select my login from the list of available logins (I created one for my son until he logged into the site for our cruise). Once my login is selected, it does automatically populate the password field, I do not have to enter. Not sure of the differences between the two. Using Edge on a computer, have not tried mobile devices.
  2. Thanks for the laugh on a week where absolutely nothing went right at work and stuff is still broke...
  3. I really enjoy CATS and think the cast does an amazing job. If you are sensitive to cold, you might want to bring a sweater or light jacket. We have normally sat closer to the stage, so not sure if it's the location.
  4. I assume you are talking about the Simon and Garfunkel version. Have you listened to the one from Disturbed? That is the only cover of that song I have really liked, his voice just makes it so haunting.
  5. @dani negreanu I don't post on this thread really at all, just read when I can. So very thankful that you are doing alright and still posting. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers while my heart breaks for what your country is going through. Hugs and love - 💕
  6. This is so true. When we were on the Crown Princess last year that had propulsion issues, I, too, read the cruise contract to try to determine what was, and was not, considered within the Cruise operator's control. Although I think the engine defect was entirely within their control, Corporate made the decision to sail the Alaska season with a ship that couldn't make speed and missed most ports. Very little in compensation was provided for most sailings. According to the cruise contract, they basically just have to leave port, sail around for a bit and can call it day and passengers have virtually no recourse. The contract is so heavily slanted in favor of the cruise lines they can do whatever they want.
  7. Apparently, you didn't hear about Crippled Crown, the Crown Princess in May, June, July and beyond of last year. Ship had serious propulsion problems and couldn't make it to most of the ports. We had an Alaskan drive-by as opposed to an Alaskan cruise. What you are getting as compensation from Royal is absolutely spectacular than what we received from Princess, a whopping $100 per person OBC. This was not weather related or anything out of control of Princess but entirely within their control as the ship was not functioning properly and they knew it. Yet, they chose to sail the Alaska season. Were we upset, very much so. Were we disappointed, you bet. But you know what? We also had a wonderful cruise with wonderful friends. The crew was fantastic and did their best while the ship shook and shuddered its way through Alaska. Glacier Bay was awesome as usual. That year we saw more wildlife than we had on previous Alaska cruises. So rather than filled with excursions, we relaxed and watched the beauty of Alaska as we slowly sailed the waters.
  8. @LisaLisa87 Don't know what the cost of the Mariner 4/3 out of Miami was, but Indy also goes out of Miami and you has a 4/4 somewhat reasonably priced. The first leaves Nov 2nd and the second Nov 6th. Both did offer a Florida discount.
  9. Also, about 30 days out, generally when check-in starts, watch the Entertainment section of the Cruise Planner. On Oasis-class they will have the ability to reserve show times as well. I did that for our cruises earlier this year even though we were in suites. Online reservations do go quickly. So, if not available, do as Firefly suggests. Wait for the email from the Suite Concierge and send the days and times that you want.
  10. I can't say that I blame you at this point. Keeping good thoughts for you and your family for your cruise! ☺️
  11. This was the in-between week. For football, I would have been there! 😁
  12. I'm not a big fan either, but DH LOVES the hamburgers from there. On Oasis in January with our Son, DIL, and GD, on boarding day they ate at Playmakers. I had a nice relaxing lunch at Gio's and read my book. ☺️
  13. When I clicked the link earlier today, it took me to the survey to complete. But, since it was going to take 10 minutes + to complete, I needed to get back to work. Figured I would just come back to it later. Now it gives the message by invitation only. Assume they have it locked down now. Did Royal IT actually get something fixed quickly??
  14. I'll have to start smuggling in butter in my Cadence containers. I like a little roll with my butter! 😂😆
  15. Congratulations!! We were on Allure for our 25th anniversary as well, but in a CLS. She was our first Oasis class and I fell in love. We have been on Deck 7 and Deck 9 in GS on other Oasis class. Deck 7 was nice if you remember which elevator to get on over Boardwalk 😂 Deck 8 is going to be great!! Right there by specialty dining, if you decide to spring for that. If you are able to take the stairs, very quick to get to Boardwalk on Deck 6 or Royal Promenade on Deck 5. Listening to the ocean on your balcony as you sail is so relaxing. If you like steak, the first night in Coastal Kitchen is Filet with Truffle Mashed Potatoes. Both are excellent!! Have a great time and enjoy!!
  16. Yeah, it was like that on Indy last September, so I did some rearranging. Moved the table and chair out of the way so I could take one of the loungers over to the other side of the balcony. Then angled both loungers from the corners toward the ocean. The table and chairs went in the middle between the two loungers. That way, both of us could use the loungers and watch the ocean. Agree about the tub in the bathroom. But I do like the double sink and the extra space. Plus, all the storage.
  17. The GS is very nice, lots of extra space in the room. The bathroom is so much larger with a double sink. The tub is a bit of a step up to get into, or a sit and swing with your legs. The balcony may not be as large as the OS but there is a table with 2 chairs plus 2 chairs with footrests. I love the CLS on Allure because of the rain shower in the upstairs bath. That's the other thing, two bathrooms! Deck 17 is great with the huge hallways and not a lot of foot traffic. It's also right there next to Coastal Kitchen and Suite Lounge and one floor down to WJ. A con is that the elevators can sometimes take a while. The perks are very enjoyable for GS and above on Allure. Don't know if you are familiar with them, the Concierge will contact you about a week out for dining and show reservations and other requests. You can arrive an hour early than your boarding time where there is a dedicated area to sit. Not as nice in PC as in Miami. You each get an internet package. In addition to CK and SL, there is a Suite Deck. Haven't been on Allure in a while, but assume it's the same as Oasis did, the Concierges on port days for the first couple of hours will do express elevators for debarkation. One of my favorite perks is priority debarkation on the last day. Yes, it is quite a bit more money going from a balcony to a full suite. And, as others have mentioned, a Specialty Dining package, The Key, and some other purchases will also make your cruise just as special. For me, I like splurging on the extras you get with a full suite on an Oasis class ship. I hope you have a wonderful Anniversary Cruise!! ☺️
  18. Thanks for taking us along on your Anniversary cruise. It was a lot of fun and appreciate the live review. Safe travels and look forward to the follow-up. ☺️
  19. I have wondered who considered that thing a nice piece of art for the bathroom wall, it is pretty hideous. I go back and forth between either the black lips being closed or just a gaping open mouth. Have considered hanging a towel over it 😂
  20. Yes, a bunch of partying rockers. Bands start early in the morning and go till early in the morning. Be prepared for not a lot of sleep. 😁 The group always has a wonderful time. This year, like last, they are doing the cruise right before to make it a B2B. This year it's a 5-day so they are going to have quite the vacation. Don't remember which year it was but even with pay per drink, they ran out of several alcohols by day 2 or 3. Had to restock at one of the ports.
  21. DH and the group are going. I’m home on pup/Mom duty. If I remember correctly, the charter company doesn’t release the bookings to RCL until 30 or 60 days prior. Once they do and show on the website, things open up. Not sure what all is available, but I do know the Deluxe Beverage Package is not an option 😁
  22. It can vary greatly so going to hard to tell what the sailing may be. This is what is offered for mine in November the week after Thanksgiving. But the one in April is $3499 for OTW. And, as usual, prices are a moving target.
  23. I know, people just assume they can just take whatever they want. I'm sure you had your things there, so it was obvious the bed was being used. I guess people may not know there are items that are fee-based. Pretty sure all of the cabanas, don't know about the beach beds, have a sign with a name.
