We were in a forward facing cabin on the Regal (Lido deck). We are not bothered by ship motion; could open the door at anytime (even while moving). The drapes must be closed at night to prevent light interfering with the Bridge. The only negative is the railing is metal and only tall basketball players might be able to see out while sitting. Another CC person suggested stacking two deck chairs together to raise you up. Our next door neighbors had "installed" a hammock on the hardware of the balcony dividers.

The menus that I have recently seen, indicate that the prices are fine for Princess Plus, and very reasonable. What is not reasonable are the prices for a glass of wine.But, this is true in restaurants as well.

You must transfer the booking within 60 days. You can get the lower rate of it goes down before final payment.

Seattle is NOT close to Vancouver. Our experiences with Princess transfers has been fine and I think a fair deal.

I hope you know that when the "auto tips" are removed, then the staff are NOT permitted to keep the cash! We keep the automatic gratuities on and tip extra in cash to those individuals who are excellent and go above and beyond.

The Princess transfer is booked with Princess and they will know the schedule. They will want to know what your arrival terminal is and flight information. Assuming your flight is on time, the earliest you will be able to reach a transfer is about 8:00am. This is a very stressful way to cruise, IMHO. With the investment for the cruise, an overnight hotel is worth the additional investment. Do you and friends have any travel insurance? This would help if the plane is extremely delayed.

Is a Chef's Table or Winemaker's Dinner being offered?

We would keep the Vista Suite, and go up one floor to the Dolphin Vista Suite if possible. But, we are aft people.

Yes, you can ask to share a table.

We always just show up. The longest we have waited was about 20 minutes.

Assuming you have a true aft Baja cabin, the only thing you may hear is the wake. The drapes are sufficient in darkening the cabin. By the way, it is the Sapphire Princess and not Princess Sapphire.

Thank you... Exactly. If you do not drink alcohol, you may be drinking many other things and not need to worry because it will be included... Like bottled water to take on shore excursions... A virgin pina colada...and of course that Caramel Macchiato in the morning... I could go on.

We have had very good experiences when seated at a larger table (6 or more) and had great service and enjoyed meeting others.

We loved the Golden (now gone from the fleet), the Crown and the Grand. And loved the Regal (different class) We did not care for the Emerald but loved the itinerary... the crew was a bit on the grouchy side (not all of them... covid issues?).

So.............. which ship last September? We were on the Grand beginning September 14.

I was talking about the entire ship, not just dining room availability. We always bring our own glasses of wine into the dining room as we do not want to wait.

That is really good news. When I wanted a glass of Chardonnay on the Grand last September, there was only ONE Chardonnay for my beverage package. And it changed often. It began with Decoy and then something else when they ran out of the Decoy.

It is really sad that Princess STILL has not figured out the wine supply issue. We cruised last May (Emerald) and it was an issue. There were just a few wines available from THEIR OWN wine menu. The same happened on the Grand last September.

I would not want to test it. If one is going to keep traveling, why not just renew it? The Princess website says to have one that does not expire for 6 months.

You will have a steel beam/ post on your balcony but it really is not bothersome. Aft is the place to BE!!!!!!!

We loved the Grand (Alaska September 2022). The crew was great and we had a really good time. It reminded us of the Golden which we really miss.
