  1. The dining room has never been on our radar for embarkation day. It is really that good? I appreciate any comments.
  2. That would not happen until late April or May.
  3. If you booked through EZ Air, then it is supposed to be fine. The port is not far from the airport.
  4. Tracy's Crab Shack is still operating. It is a very easy walk from the ship and crowded.
  5. I looked at photos of the Majestic and it looks like the Riviera deck aft is not covered. However, the balcony is a nice size, unlike the others. Aft is our favorite place to be. Soot has NEVER been an issue!!!
  6. Shoot... We had 75 degrees one time when pulling out from Juneau! The pools and hot tubs were very busy.
  7. Please be aware that we are not to mention "travel agencies". However, we always book through our big box store because of the benefits. The insurance is through a third party, not the big box store. And, after much shopping around, they are usually the best for us for the money spent. Thank heaven we have not needed to use it.
  8. The Sun is the first "Sphere" ship. If you are expecting water slides, hairy leg contests, rock climbing walls, etc. you will be disappointed. It sounds like you are not looking for that anyway. We were bored on HAL, but not on Princess.
  9. In order of age. 10. Yes, I am quoting myself. After booking the cabin we wanted when the itineraries were released... we just re-priced our cabin with a considerable savings. YAY!!!!!😆
  11. I am glad that some have had good experiences on the Celebrity Reflection. We will not be back for many reasons.
  12. The Princess transfer is $59.00 per person so you can see that it is considerably more than booking directly with the National Express. We are paranoid so we booked through Princess from Victoria Station to Southampton. It was comfortable.
  13. We were very fortunate in that GS somehow handled it. It may have been via a phone call. At least the neighbors complied. I was not sure what to expect. The neighbor's slider was also open and loud music was blaring.
  14. Remember, there is often music already being piped in various areas of the ship. Personally, I would not want to listen to your music. I may be reading a book and not want to hear it. As someone said, bring your earbuds and enjoy by yourself. I would not want to hear it on my balcony either. On our cruise last May, I had to call GS because the people next door had their TV blaring and the deck door open. They were not even in the cabin part of the time.
  15. Go to: https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=RU You can always go to the Princess website and look at the deck plans of a particular ship. Then you will know the sizes of the balconies. Baja balconies are smaller than those on the Caribe deck for the Ruby. Some aft balconies are an exception. To see if they are covered, look the ship up online and look at "Images" and look at the particular deck.
  16. Last December, we booked for November 2024.
  17. Wow... I did not know there were so many editors on CC. Please pardon my horrendous error.
  18. I used the term "many" because I see that quite often on CC and CC is only a small segment of cruisers. I wanted the OP to understand that it is not required.
  19. I think it is because people need to select the location which can only be done when actually seeing the arrangements.
  20. I do not think so. Many refuse to use the medallion. You can also ask for a cruise card as we used to have.
  21. Where are you going? Many weeks ago, we booked a Transatlantic for November 2024. If possible, you might try and correct the title of your question, because it says 2004, not 2024.
  22. It depends which ship and where the cabin is located. We were on the Coral on the Emerald deck, in the very last aft cabin. The club never bothered us.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. This never appeared in my radar.
