  1. The big difference is the reserve class dining between a regular mini and a reserve class. If it's more then a specialty restaurant per day I deem it a poor value. Under that $39 PP PD it's a fair price. Lunch is limited to sea days although breakfast is daily in reserve class.
  2. Real estate size is the major advantage. I also book mostly suites and some perks do not overlap like Reserve Class dining (not an elite perk) and breakfast at the specialty restaurant. On cruises of 6 nights or longer suites have an embarkation dinner at the specialty restaurant of their choice. The mini bar is double, one for the elite tier and another for the suite. Some ships have a concierge lounge. Princess suite perks are nothing to brag about. I like RCL's top tier perks better which are equivalent to Princess suite perks and then some.
  3. It sounds like a weird deal because there are so many hotel night and not enough cruise nights. I wonder if the Hotels are going to charge taxes and resorts fees and certainly meals wouldn't be included.
  4. In your personalizer they usually give directions to the pier.
  5. Why is this a problem with this process? You booked a courtesy hold on a Princess website and the booking belongs to Princess. You have 30 days to transfer a booking made with Princess to a TA.
  6. Order your coffee for the time you wake up from room service and enjoy it .
  7. One has nothing to do with the other.
  8. Are you trying to get the APP problem fixed or just doing the pre registration on the phone with ocean navigator which is what I've done. Since I won't pay to have the medallion mailed I have to go to the check in desk anyway and it takes less then 5 minutes to do everything.
  9. I said this on another thread but will repeat iit here. You can jump all over me BUT why are you folks still stressing with an APP that doesn't work right. Call in to ocean navigator like I do and I'm done in under 3 minutes and have ZERO frustration.

  11. It happens all the time and means absolutly nothing. Try again later or tomorrow and it will be all there.
  12. Didn't realize it was taking the Sur La Mer which I didn't care for and apparently enough people didn't hence the change. The location of the restaurant is awkward in what should be a public space. There is no sense of privacy in this venue, it's open and passengers walk right in front of you.
  13. This is Mini suite VS mini suite club class, balcony cabin has nothing to do with this. When you make a booking and choose mini suite you get two choices, standard mini or club class. This $110 PP PD is the difference between mini's when booking.
  14. Until proven otherwise I believe the extra fare for a reserve class includes the gratuity for the dining crew. I will REDUCE (never would eliminate because there are crew who need their tips in other areas ) my auto gratuity to take that into consideration. Nobody has to agree with me, it's my right to believe what I believe however if someone could prove that part or all of that $110 PP PD I'm paying goes to Princess and not the crew I could revise my thinking. Since the dining crew in club class serve fewer people it seems logical that some of that extra fare goes to them or why would they work in an area for less salary.
  15. Oh yes it is and I posted it. 16. I bought several E gift cards on AARP. I called my big box TA and they had them applied with no issue. I had a few dollars left over and it was applied to OBC which showed up instantly in my cruise personalizer.
  17. I wouldn't mind the gty but I will never go with a non refundable deposit
  18. Does the OP have the insurance would be the question.
  19. The perks will be the same so choose based on location and price.
  20. It feels unfair that you are paying twice as much as some else. I would feel the same way. I don't know what you can do if Princess says tough luck.
  21. This is the price to book the cruise. It is for next year so no bidding yet. Just go to make a (dummy) booking on the Diamond for May 2024 and see the prices and you will see the reserve class is $110 PP PD. I made my booking in a regular Mini at this time and am waiting to see if the price drops. It's my belief the extra fee for reserve class covers the dining staff
  22. This is the May 24 Japan on the Diamond Reserve Collection Mini-Suite - Upgrade from $110 per day A premium stateroom category featuring our best located Mini-Suite staterooms, as well as the great amenities found in all Mini-Suites — plus premier dining benefits and luxurious perks. Each night, enjoy Club Class Dining, an exclusive dining area featuring expedited seating with no wait, expanded menu options, dedicated wait staff and tableside preparations. Other amenities include priority embarkation and disembarkation, a complimentary one-time wine set-up and so much This is a service charge which I believe is going to the crew in the club class dining room. The other perks are already there with the elite tier.
  23. It's $110 PP PD on the Diamond Princess. I believe the upcharge is going towards the crew incentive
  24. Not the way I see it, I'm paying $110 PP PD for the service and that's a lot of extra for the service.
