What's happening on Allure of the Seas?
RFerrington replied to jxtgreek's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Dadgummit ! Gonna miss you again !!! -
Slightly off topic (well, may WAY off topic) but I noticed today that the Labadee Over-the-water cabanas for our 6-6-24 and 8-15-24 Indy sailings are listed for $799. That's still WAAYTOOO much and I would never pay it but it's nearly half price from what I've seen the OTW cabanas going for recently.

What's happening on Allure of the Seas?
RFerrington replied to jxtgreek's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Hey, Marcie !! Are you guys going to be on the next AL cruise ? We are boarding on 2-12. Unfortunately, we will just be on the one 4 night shorty. I read elsewhere that there are currently (your sailing) 80 Pinns onboard and that all Pinns were given full SL/CK access. True ? Is it working smoothly ? Any idea how many Pinns will be on the upcoming cruise ? As you know, we're still baby Pinns so if they are cutting Pinns out, we will be the first to be culled ! Thanks !! -
Congratulations !!! Enjoy that JS !!!

Permanent change to lounge access?
RFerrington replied to BND's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The current sailing of Allure has 80 Pinns and all have full access. This is going to be a ship-by-ship, sailing-by-sailing thing like it has been for a number of months. As @CSHS1979 noted...nothing new here. -
Yeah the Chef's Choice until just recently was a plate of stale cookiies. Pretty pathetic. But I think they got enough complaints about that..and now it's slightly better with a banana or some strawberries (which my husband is allergic to).

Coastal Kitchen menu on Symphony?
RFerrington replied to TeeRick's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I don't think I've ever seen a CK menu online or in the app. -
But doesn’t that original name have to sail ? I think the OP is asking if they can change 2 names and then have the last original name on the booking be a no-show.

Beer/wine/soda/water in suite lounge?
RFerrington replied to mafig's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have always been able to just order your complimentary suites drinks at the dinner table. No reason to believe it would be otherwise. -
For the reservation to avoid repricing, at least one person on the original reservation must sail. So if everyone originally booked on that reservation are now NOT going, you cannot substitute names and keep the same pricing. What would happen if you keep your mother's name on the booking and then she is a no-show ? Truly, I don't know. Maybe they would not notice. Maybe they would. What they would do about it if they DO notice....is a guess. I suppose you could take that chance and see. ....but you should be prepared to have to reprice the booking on the spot. Not sure they would go to that trouble, but who knows,,,

Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)
RFerrington replied to Daghis's topic in Cruise Casinos
Hey, Marc !! I don't usually have enough points left to worry about but it seems to me that under normal circumstances (I know that this VY situation was not "normal") there is a minimum threshold at which points can be converted to OBC but I don't recall what that threshold is. It's always well above whatever chincy number of points I have ! 😁 -
Liberty of the seas steam room
RFerrington replied to cusematt4's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes. We just got off Liberty. My husband went to the sauna/steam room nearly every day. Enjoy it while you can ! -

Yes, but you have to choose either fixed time traditional dining or MTD. You cannot mix them. I definitely would not cancel my theater reservations. You can just make other arrangements for dining that evening. There’s lots of choices for places to eat besides the MDR.
-
If you are assigned to early traditional dining then you will not be able to change over to MTD for just that one meal. You may be able to change to MTD for the entire cruise, but you cannot mix and match traditional and MTD. I do suggest that you speak with the Maitre'd and see if they can suggest something. Maybe they will make an exception for you but I would be prepared for them to say "no" to MTD.

LIVE!!! ICON OF THE SEAS INAUGURAL
RFerrington replied to cruisinghawg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I read on the blog that the current sailing is 5000-5500, so far below capacity. I think it’s supposed to remain at ~80% for the first few sailings and that they will ramp up capacity slowly. -

Hey, Renee ! Forgive me if you already mentioned it (I’m coming in late) but you guys in a full suite ? Wondering if the high # of Pinns is causing you any access issues. Good to hear that you were able to get into the CK without a problem. Have a great cruise ! -
Explorer Suite Guests Breakfast/Dinner
RFerrington replied to Carol28's topic in Royal Caribbean International
1. Chops for breakfast - yes. 2. Sharing a table for dinner. If you have traditional dining this will be much easier to arrange. Folks who do My Time Dining, historically, do not wish to share a table so that is sometimes harder to arrange, but not impossible. Talk to the Maitre'd when you board and see if they can pre-arrange table mates. Sorry. Re-read your post and it seems like you have MTD. I still recommend that you speak with the Maitre'd and see what he/she can arrange.
