  1. They charged you extra for the sushi side or for the hibachi/teppanyaki ?
  2. The most “flipping” we’ve done is to switch spots with the chair and sofa in the JS so that the couch is next to the vanity. That allowed us to sit on the couch with our devices plugged-in. It was a simple switcheroo and we moved it all back into place before we left.
  3. Not to confuse things, but I will just relate a recent experience. I purchased a number of CP items for the cruise that I am currently ion (EX 4-5-24) - a 3 night dining package, a boarding day specialty restaurant and a couple of port excursions - and when I later checked the reservations in my "Order History", I found a ribbon at the bottom of every one of those purchases that said something like, "Nonrefundable, cannot make changes to this purchase". This was well before any deadline date. I had no need to make any changes so I don't know if the ribbon was an error, a hint at things to come or if those purchases were truly non-refundable. I have always known Cruise Planner purchases (in the US) to be fully refundable but I have a very bad feeling that Royal MAY be in the process of changing the ability to refund previously-purchased items. This is SPECULATION....not fact. But those purchases did, in fact, show that they were non-refundable. Whether they actually were or not is unknown since I never had any need to make a change to any of them.
  4. On EX now. No lunch in the MDR on port days….just sea days
  5. Thank you @LadyZolt. What a truly incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So glad you got the chance to experience it and for helping us enjoy it as well.
  6. Hmm...I will have to remember to check this out. I haven't noticed before.
  7. LOL. Yes. I've been a member here at CC far longer than over on the Blog. I joined this site before I realized it was a very bad idea to use your real name....😵‍💫
  8. I am not disputing those who have had bad outcomes with their W&F service, but my experience is that we have never had a single item shrunk, faded or otherwise damaged and we use the W&F service a LOT. I did lose a pair of yoga pants once but Dan gained a pair of athletic shorts so I guess it was a fair trade ! Interestingly enough, this was on a Star Class cruise so it wasn't even the normal W&F service. I send EVERYthing out to the laundry and have never had a single problem (knocking on wood as I'm typing). IMO the W&F service is one of the BEST D+ perks. It's much nicer going home with clean clothes than going home with everything dirty !
  9. I just booked Hideaway on our upcoming EX 4-14 cruise for $19.99 ($43.96 total). I will give it a try and see what it's like.
  10. 🥹 We don't qualify for this one but frankly, I have never heard of ANYone getting it. Why even have it ?
  11. This is simply not true. I just snipped the below from a random search on one of my upcoming Indy cruises. US booking
  12. While I’ve never tried to use a BOGO for lunch, I’d be very surprised if they didn’t allow it. This would save them money and we all know how much they value their bottom line !
  13. They're still around, but just as rare as they've always been.
  14. I think your chances of winning a RU bid have as much to do with the cabin that you would be vacating as it does with your bid for the upgrade. If someone wants your "old" cabin and there is already a bid on it, this could negate an even higher bid for the upgraded room if nobody wants your "old" room. It's the TOTAL money that they will result from the upgrade cascade that really matters...not just the value of individual bids.
  15. That's so funny b/c I actually like the chicken parm on that menu. Now....I am as far from an Italian food connoisseur as they come so it doesn't take much to make me happy. I guess it's a good thing that everyone likes something different otherwise the world would be a boring place !
  16. I'm glad your wife has found the grilled chicken to be good. I've tried it twice - both times the chicken "crunched" it was so fibrous. That was it. Never again. I normally like prime rib but again, my previous experience with the night 1 prime rib has been....bad. Nope. So it's just easier to write that night off...which is a shame b/c we always get a specialty lunch on boarding day and 2 specialty meals in 1 day is a lot of food for us. But it is what it is...
  17. Same for us. Sometimes they allow you to use the BOGO on nights other than 1 and/or 2 and sometimes they don't. Since we almost always use our BOGO in conjunction with a 3 night package (at least we used to....now that the prices on the 3 night have gone into outer space, we will be utilizing the package much less) then we can be flexible. I absolutely hate the welcome aboard menu so I will almost always use one of the BOGO on night 1 but the second one is always a "floater".
  18. Not anymore. Royal put an end to this about a year ago. Now, with the UDP you are limited to 1 visit per day to the Ala carte restaurants. Once you use your allocation, it’s gone and no more will be covered. If 2 people have the UDP then you would get double the Ala carte value….but only once per day.
  19. They already have a tunnel. I believe that the FSK bridge was built to accommodate the transport of materials that could not, safely, be transported via tunnel. Not sure another tunnel would work....but I totally understand your thought process on this....
