  1. Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock is a Nice excursion - You can book individual tour at Fjordtours - just check where you ship will dock - might be outside Stavanger.
  2. It's very fine to use an existing topic for related questions. There are actually only a few of the Norwegian Fjord itineraries that include Geiranger and from 2026 most ships must not sail to Geiranger due to a 'zero Emission Zone’in Geiranger Fjord. However, I doubt there are excursions from Stavanger to Geiranger as kitkat343 is saying - it takes 24 hours to cover the stretch both ways by car, so if that is the case there must be an overnight excursion. Create a new topic with your itinerary and let us have a look at the possibilities.
  3. 26 nights from Singapore through Suez Canal to Barcelona
  4. Lots of them in formation around Bergen, Stavanger and Oslo. You need to explore possibilities in Nordfjordeid more closely. It is a small town with few options nearby. Which port - Skagen?
  5. Maybe the guard change at The Royal Palace (Amalienborg) - an option might also be Go Boat - be your own captain. Best way is by taxi. Alternative is train from airport to Copenhagen Central or or Metro M2+M3/M4 to Rådhuspladsen (Town Hall Square). Public transport to Cruise Terminal at Oceankaj is Metro M4 to Orientkaj and bus 25 or 164 to the terminal.
  6. Assuming Nordfjordeid? I do not know what is possible from there - try This link and contact the local provider Fjord Guiding.
  7. When an address is required I have used the address of the port agent for the cruise line - never experienced problems.
  8. Link to ‘Loen Shuttle’ - you can book Shuttle and Sky Lift here. The same for Briksdal Glacier. There is also a Public bus from Olden Harbour to Briksdal.
  9. I bought my tickets 90 days in advance My mistake - yes, tickets are available 90 days in advance at vy.no.
  10. No changes from information I provided in post #4, #8 and #17 - number of cruises available to Flåm and Geiranger are likely to be reduced in 2026 - You'll still be able to cruise to deep fjords ports like Olden. Skjolden, Hellesylt, and more.
  11. Not correct. Zero emissions zone in the world heritage fjords is by 2026 - It is possible that there will be a transition period during which ships powered by bio-LNG can sail the fjord until 2030. After that, zero emissions, which will mainly mean propulsion by electricity.
  12. I would definitely recommend a trip to the viewpoints - a HoHo bus is available. You sail through the fjord both on arrival in the morning and departure in the evening - be on deck early in the morning when entering the fjords - preferably already at sunrise at 04:30 am Link to HoHo bus as well as Panorama bus tours. This is what you'll see from the cruise ship when entering Geiranger Fjord:
  13. Tickets for the Flåmsbanen on vy.no can only be purchased 60 days before travel. If you want to be able to cancel, you must create a profile on vy.no when booking tickets so that you can cancel tickets online. Although Norway's best is sold out, there will still be tickets for sale at vy.no. Travel agents cannot buy all tickets for the train.
  14. You’re welcome - and you will find much more details here.
  15. Correct - only Flåm and Geiranger are located in the world heritage fjords - but not necessarily zero emission after 2026. To give regional authorities and other affected parties a realistic opportunity to adjust and adapt to the new zero emissions requirements, a transitional arrangement is being proposed, permitting the use of Bio-LNG under certain circumstances. This will help ensure that the world heritage fjords will remain ports of call beyond 2026. I suspect that the LNG ships that are being built now can also sail on Bio-LNG, so that these ships will be able to sail to Flåm and Geiranger also after 2026. The transition period is expected to last until 2030. Hurtigruten is expecting to have full electric ships by 2030
  16. Yes, R45 is the right train - only one train operating at the line. The departure time I can see at vy.no is exact the same as Norway’s Best - at vy.no you might have chosen a different location- chose ‘Flåm Stasjon’ - and return from ‘Myrdal Stasjon’ - take the first (same) train back from Myrdal. Nothing to see or do in Myrdal.
  17. When it comes to small ships, Hurtigruten might also be of interest to you - either the original coastal route or expedition cruises. I suspect that you generally prefer smaller ships, but I just want to state that it is a general misunderstanding that a small ships are better when it comes to the Norwegian fjords. The deep Norwegian fjords can be navigated by ships of all sizes - no difference between itineraries. The only exception is Trollfjord, which is only sailed by smaller cruise ships. It would be a good idea to visit the Heritage Fjords before 'Zero Emission' is expected to be introduced in 2026 - however, this only applies to Flåm and Geiranger. Other Norwegian fjord ports will not be affected. Furthermore, it is likely with a transitional arrangement where new LNG ships will be permitted before only electric propulsion becomes a requirement in 2030. Some inspiration short videos from deep fjords into Flåm and Geiranger as well as Trollfjord.
  18. You should be able to save the boarding pas (Apple is using Wallet) - so no need for data roaming or WiFi at the airport - you’ll need WiFi for check in.
  19. Even though Hamburg is a very small airport, it gets very close - probably too close. Somewhat dependent on the airline and destination, you must be at the airport at 9:15 at the latest - It is not certain that you can disembark before 9. How soon depends on last port and not least on the cruise line.
  20. If your ship is cruising Trollfjord you’ll have the same experience - I would even think that ship cruising will be more spectacular than a small boat - in particular late evening in June/July.
  21. Which of the three options depends on what you are interested in. Option one has a deep fjord to Flåm. Haugesund and Molde are not the most interesting cities. Option two has Flåm too and three good coastal cities. Bergen and Ålesund are two interesting cities. Stavanger in both options - also quite good, Option 3 is actually also good - only three Norwegian ports but two deep fjords to Olden and Flåm as well as Bergen, which has many good sights. I cannot comment on Bruges in Belgium. I don't want to choose option one, but two and three are good options.
  22. Less traffic and less crowding at the airport - two hours is fine.
  23. I wouldn't expect ARN to be very crowded for an 11:20am flight in mid-June. (depending on the day of the week). I assume you have priority check in and fixed track if Business on the first leg to London. You do not need to be at the airport earlier than two hours before departure. It takes 45 minutes from hotel to ARN. Book a taxi with a fixed price.
  24. Flåm is one of the best ports and with the possibility of a nice train journey from Flåm to Myrdal. Nordfjordeid can be compared to Skjolden - however, there is a significantly longer fjord sailing to Skjolden (comparable to sailing to Flåm). Others have given a good description of Kristiansand.
