  1. I always just google APEX DECK PLAN… otherwise the longer way is to go to Celebrity website, at the top select SHIPS, APEX, and scroll down thru all the info and select deck plans. First choice is faster and then select deck.
  2. I rarely drink alcohol so it makes it easy to decide… but pre Covid if we didn’t have perks, I would get the soda package just for the ease of getting coffees, water, soda. But that is so ridiculously priced now, I will just pay as I go. Makes me sad to see the prices they are charging. We have two cruises left this year with AI and the rest are booked Cruise Only!
  3. We have only paid the per person rate for one person...
  4. We have found that if you put a slice of lemon or lime in the water it's tolerable to take on an excursion... otherwise, tastes like what I would imagine dirt tastes like... lol
  5. Can’t tell you why… but the same thing happened to us. First time I called, they said it was an IT issue. Waited a few weeks and called again and was transferred to a dept that fixed it.
  6. If you get lucky and are headed with the sun on the front end of the ship, it is shaded. I don't like sitting in the sun... and there isn't much overhang... you can see from this YouTube video. Later in the day when the sun is getting lower in the sky, it can be all in the sun. While it's an older video, the balcony space hasn't changed.
  7. You can purchase one and share… but you need to call to get your Elite discount applied to the online “sale” price. Done it many times!
  8. Yes. If you are together at a bar or restaurant, just ask the server or bartender to put the charges all on your seapass card and they will all be charged to your cabin. OBC will apply until it is gone… then your credit card on file will be charged.
  9. Have never seen liquid hand soap at the bathroom sink on any of the many Celebrity ships we've been on, including Apex last month. Shower gel in the shower and bar soap on the bathroom counter. Do not like bar soap, so always bring my own pump soap that I buy at Dollar Tree or somewhere cheap... and just leave it there.
  10. On Apex last month, I spoke to the Oceanview manager who said they would like nothing more than to get back to normal, or close to that. Hope all of our comments and emails have made a little bit of impact fleet wide. We're on Summit in May, so we'll see!
  11. We had dinner at Rooftop on Apex last month… glad we took sweaters… and the wind was most irritating. Really looked forward to trying the food, but didn’t find it that great, so were sad not to add that venue to our favorites!
  12. Just returned from Apex and no mention of Covid and rarely saw anyone masked. Large groups everywhere, no social distancing, etc. Would think Covid never existed. A nice “thanks for washing your hands” at OVC, but nobody saying washy-washy. Most just walked right by the sinks.
  13. We were also on this sailing. The pasta bar was alternated with the stir fry station every other night, I think. We missed two nights as we ate in San Juan and at Rooftop Grill... but on the last night when I saw pasta, I asked the OVC manager and he told me they were alternating.
  14. We had stir fry station on Apex several nights last week and they switched it up with pasta station on the last night… heading in the right direction.
  15. Last day of our Apex cruise and we love everything about this ship! Many little groupings with sofa and chairs in Eden… and so many little back pillows in the chairs everywhere. While we miss Sky Lounge forward views, we will be very happy on our future Apex and Edge cruises!
  16. On Apex now and dinner buffet has no grill station yet… but there has been a carving station each night and several nights the Stir Fry station has been open. Must say the bakery people on this ship are superb! The breads and desserts are the best we’ve ever had. Overall the reduced offerings have been excellent. They are actually using some seasonings and even the veg fried rice had a little zip. We were very leary the first night but are totally ok if they keep things like this, although would really like a grill and/or pasta station. Had a conversation with one of the Exec Chefs who was standing around and he said they are kind of in a tough spot… if they cut too much people won’t come, but if they have too much it is wasted.
  17. Soltice to Mexico this past Thanksgiving had LOTS of kids and family groups. Capt said around 250 kids. We generally don’t cruise on vacation times and were very surprised how many activities were geared to that group. Sky Lounge was packed most days, instead of being our quiet place to read.
  18. We cruise on Apex in a week. I have already spoken to Celebrity on the phone in response to an email... of course, I got the same courteous responses and the request that I let them know how it went when we return. You bet I'm going to respond... and if not acceptable, will definitely ask about waiver of NRD and other penalties for cancellations as we have 7 cruises booked after this next one. Thanks for reminding me about the basic soda package. We happen to have AI for our 2023 cruises because they were booked long ago. Have moved to Cruise Only for 2024 and beyond, so would appreciate the Classic soda package for soda, water, etc. Will report back from Apex.
  19. Hmmm… no sign of any OBC offer after they called following my email… but maybe we’ll get some after my next email from Apex in less than 2 weeks… or from the next 7 cruises we have booked. 🤣🤣🤣 Going to try and stay positive about the possibility of things improving a little bit… that’s all I ask… at least grill station and maybe pasta station on a few nights!
  20. I am also a bit OCD in keeping my room clean... therefore always tell steward on day one that I only want morning service... just put the daily outside the door... no need for chocolate or towel animal or drapes closed. We always eat in buffet for dinner and so wish this would happen. Don't need a big meal, but totally understand the waste. We comment about it every time we cruise. Holding out hope that even Mast Grill stays open for an extra hour or a Craft Social type venue is added to M or S class ships.
  21. Love this idea... several lines have done this and before we started sailing Celebrity almost exclusively we very much enjoyed those dining venues. Agree with O'Shehans... it was great!
  22. Going on first Edge class in two weeks and noticed the Bacio in/near the Oceanview... do you mean they have no tea lattes at all? Just coffee drinks?
  23. I was one of the early ones to email exec office and got a quick call back. Of course they were very sympathetic and "understanding" and reiterated that they really want feedback, which I will definitely provide after our Apex cruise on 1/28. We have 7 more cruises booked over the next 24 months. While I tried to ask the question, it was ignored as she kept saying that "Lisa herself" wants to know how people feel... but I will DEFINITELY ask about Celebrity waiving NRD for cancellation if the OV is not appropriate for our needs. The rep also said nothing is permanent and always open to change... of course, she was well trained in what to say as everyone else seems to have gotten the same. We are some that NEVER dine in MDR. Just really like to eat what we want (smaller portions), when we want, wearing jeans and a sweater or something else tasteful but not dressy. Has nothing to do with cost of specialty dining and we very occasionally go to Sushi/Raw on 5. No interest in suites with Luminae or Blu dining. We cruised RC got to Diamond and didn't have or want to deal with as many kids. No desire for big slides, climbing walls, etc. any more. We have loved Celebrity since then and have given up trying to look for a different or better line. As bonagrad mentioned above, we're not asking for a full return of the OV... it has been limited for dinner since before Covid... but not the drastic change we are hearing about. It just seems reasonable to provide at least a limited grill station with some protein choices as well as one or two casseroles for those who like those. Also a couple of fresh, simple cooked veggies, baked potato, rice, etc. I also suggested that they keep the Mast Grill open for an extra hour, until 7pm. No way to know at this point how our comments will be received... but our 1/28 cruise will be 3 weeks into the OV cuts, so we'll see if things have changed by then.
  24. Great ideas and hoping things will get at least a little better. Also agree that there is a huge amount of waste and it is important to address that, but you hit it exactly by saying that they went too far.
