  1. Hooray another @Norwaylady review 😀 but how have I only just found this?! All caught up now and following along. Have a fab time
  2. @Jim_Iain Thank you for another fabulous trip report; I've loved following along. Looking forward to following your next adventure
  3. I know - the ferries are extortionate - I travel as a foot passenger one day a week for work. Our MP is meant to be looking into & liaising with the ferry companies but it's just so expensive to take a car on/off the island
  4. I live on the Isle of Wight and having recently been on "the mainland" I can say that petrol prices are pretty much the same. I agree - car parking here is very expensive. I'm very fortunate to have a staff car park at work to avoid having to pay
  5. @Grumpella I've enjoyed reading your review - thank you 😀
  6. @DaKahuna thank you for your fabulous blog; I've loved following along
  7. thank you @grapau27 and @yorkshirephil I've got my email address changed
  8. Thank you, I don't post often so don't get many notifications but now I've got my next cruise booked I'll probably be posting more trying to glean lots of info
  9. @Mad4WDW - will you be blogging on your cruise? Would love to see and hear more thoughts on Arvia. Have a fab time
  10. Thanks Graham; I've sent an email in the hope that will work
  11. Thanks - will give it a go. Have just tried but got an error message!!
  12. @Vampiress88 thank you for another fabulous blog; can't wait to follow along next time you're away
  13. I can't seem to work out how to change my email address for this website. I can see any email notifications but they go to an old, rarely used account. I'm sure it's obvious but defeats me each time I try to look up what to do!
  14. Norway Lady - I think you would be the youngest passengers on a Fred Olsen cruise. My parents (late 70s) have cruised with them several times
  15. yes it is a shame that you can't see them before you book. I booked a cruise last week to Norway & Iceland and used a tour company to look up tours in the areas I'm going to in the hope P&O may offer something similar
  16. @Norwaylady many thanks for your fabulous blog of your cruise. I have been lucky to cruise to Norway a couple of times and love your beautiful country. I'm cruising later this year and the two Norway stops are Alesund and Skjolden so I'd be grateful if you could advise on any must see / do at either of these places. Thanks, Sarah
  17. Wow Charla - just found and caught up on your review; have a fabulous time 🙂
  18. I booked yesterday to sail on Arcadia (going for the itinerary not ship facilities!) in August, 16 nights in a balcony for 3 of us is £1065 each - I nearly booked a couple of weeks ago and it was £1200 pp then but had to wait to confirm I could get the time off work. Really pleased with the price and can't wait to sail. It is very annoying when the price drops to less than you've paid and I feel people should then be compensated e.g. OBC
  19. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean several times and P&O twice. A friend and I were looking to cruise in the near future (she will only go with RC) and the price of RC was so much more and I'm not sure they are that much of a better product than P&O to warrant me spending £200+ more to sail with them - it's more about the destinations than the ship's facilities. So that's on hold at the moment. I don't have children so can appreciate they would appreciate more to do on the ship! Yesterday I booked to go on Arcadia with some other friends and know that's adults only and as the cruise is 16 nights will probably attract more retired people so I'll be in the lower age bracket at 49 (the friends I'm going with are 60 & 69) I think manners are more important than class
  20. Many thanks for all the advice on here earlier today. I have booked with P&O directly - price the same as one online cruise company and the other company could not offer a balcony for 3 people, only a window at much greater cost. Is there an app I need to download? I've not cruised since 2019 and out of practice!
  21. Thank you Harry - I have "signed up" with one company - not sure if it's the same one - and have contacted them for a price
  22. Good morning all, hope you had a lovely Easter weekend. can anyone please advise me (sorry I know this will have been asked somewhere before) - is it better to book a cruise with an online cruise travel agent (I understand recommendations for specific companies cannot be given), or a high street travel agent (not cruise specialist) or direct with the cruise line? What are the benefits given by who you book with E.g. OBC? I’m looking to book a P&O cruise at saver rate. thanks for any replies Sarah
  23. @purplesea so sorry to hear your news. Hope you hear from the oncologist soon so your treatment can be planned
