  1. As far as I know the ship you mentioned does not have a pizzeria. There is still pizza by the slice on lido
  2. That might work for a short cruise but on all the 14-21 day cruises we book would be an extra $40 per day with nothing much to show for it
  3. For us the changes have been negligible. The biggest change is on ships that had free sit down pizza restaurants that were free. There is now a charge for them. We have always taken packages and you will notice that they are more expensive. We are fairly laid back cruisers so not much turns us off. There is some wear and tear on the older ships so the date of the last dry dock should be looked at
  4. We always book specialty dinners while on board however we prefer to eat after 7:30
  5. I am not sure when you last looked at deck plans but this morning I looked both the Emerald and the Ruby and both show arcade in that location next to the casino. The left hand side of the page still says cigars but if you scroll over to the actual deck plan you will see arcade in that location
  6. Agree completely. Guarantee cabins are filled close to cruise date. I know some people are betting that the category the booked will be full and they will get a higher category but I think that is a foolhardy bet
  7. And if we want a glass of wine over the $15 once in awhile we can pay a couple of extra dollars no big deal. At $40 per couple more per day I cannot see it paying off especially on the 14-20 day cruises we generally take
  8. Some cigar smokers use lighters that look like mini blowtorch’s I am not sure they can even get them on board
  9. My cruise in one month still shows the regular prices. Things on the app seem all wacko
  10. To is the WiFi is one of the most important things on a cruise. We usually take cruises with 5-6 days at sea at a time and really want to stay in touch with the outside world
  11. Looking at my booked cruises I think it may be this new app which is also showing the higher prices for cruises I have in 4 months. I would think that Princess would be getting word out to travel agents if this is for real
  12. Disembarking the Crown last month at 8:30 there were some already in line
  13. One year on a Thanksgiving cruise we got what we called the pumpkin menu. Every course featured pumpkin
  14. Define longer. We usually book 16 day cruises with casino offers not a problem. If you are talking world cruise you will not get a free cabin We do gamble a minimum of 2-3 hours a day. We generally end up with 10,000 points or so each
  15. I just don’t understand why everyone wants to stand in line to board early. I will wander on at noon or so
  16. I haven’t worn or even owned a tie in years. You will find a mixture of clothes on pretty much any cruise these days
  17. You can ask but there may be limited time slots. They keep more tables open for suites on embarkation night. We have almost always been able to get reservations other nights but we like to eat later than most cruisers. If you want to eat at 5:00 or so it may be much harder
  18. Even when there was a charge for everyone there were long waits to get a seat
  19. Yes the lounge will be open on embarkation day and can make your reservation for you or just call the dine line
  20. You really need to ask by ship as some still have some do not
  21. And have you ever had a problem on embarkation day we haven’t and Sabatini’s is kind of out go to on embarkation night
  22. You have quite a long time before your cruise I would not expect anything until maybe 2 weeks from sailing
