  1. One thing is for sure, you are not talking about the YC on MSC
  2. I always do my own research and pricing. I then book with the cruise line of choice to make sure I get everything that I want and booked. I then call my TA and he transfers the booking and either discounts my cruise, or; gives me OBC. My TA loves that because it reduces his time booking and I have no one to blame but myself if something is left off. I am retired so I have the time to research.
  3. I have cruised MSC in YC three times and had a really good experience . Our first two MSC cruises we thought that the food in YC dining room was very good. The cruise in July we both thought the food was just ok and nothing to write home about. The service in the YC area was excellent. The YC lounge is a great place to have a drink and light snack. The One Deck area is great. We also experienced very good bar service throughout the ship. I enjoyed the shows. Butlers service has been outstanding. Great pizza delivered to you room in YC. If I am going to cruise MSC again it will be in YC because of all the perks with the exception of eating in the main dining a couple of times. However, my wife and I sailed on the Westerdam in September and fell in love with HAL. We thought the food was really good. We went to the dueling pianos every evening and BB King. We booked the Rotterdam for next July and are very excited about the ship and sailing from Amsterdam. We will sail MSC again but HAL is our choice ( for now)
  4. What might the passenger mix might be? Mostly Europeans? We have sailed MSC a few times and have really enjoyed the diversity of the passengers. Just courteous how many Americans might be on the ship.
  5. Anyone have any experience while on Rotterdam Orange ?
  6. My wife’s special education position was just verified today. Will the $100.00 OBC be applied to our cruise in July 2023 and how do you know if your cruise is eligible for the OBC?
  7. Is the dining menu really expanded very much and better location?
  8. We are sailing on the Rodderdam September 2023. I really don’t care about the possibility of an up grade for our cabin. We are wondering if it is worth the extra money to have Club Orange for the other benefits.
  9. We just got off the Westerdam couple weeks ago and we pre-paid $49.00 for unlimited wash/fold/hanger for the week. It was the best service that I have received on any ship. Well worth the $49.00.
  10. That is what I thought. No big deal. Thank you
  11. If I may ask? My wife and I leave in September to cruise Alaska. Do we still have to test? We are both fully vaccinated. Thanks in advance.
  12. Thank you. Was interested in the number also.
  13. I have sailed new ships on MSC and Carnival. We chose the Westerdam because I like more classic ships. We are going to Alaska to see the scenery more than going on a ship with all the new bells and whistles. Service, food and relaxation is what we are looking for in September. Having said that, if we do Europe I would prefer a newer ship. By the way, the review on the Westerdam was great to follow.
  14. Only an empty bottle will leave dinner.
  15. Is there a wine package that one could purchase? We have the drink package but sometimes the wine might be better in a package
  16. Lol. My wife always takes a box of French Vanilla Creamer. We just got off MSC Seashore and she had about 12 left. Would be nice if Westerdam had the creamer. Will follow. We cruise at the end of September
  17. I have read about their CS. I have called three times and never experienced any issues. Guess I am lucky.
  18. Who knows? Kinda glad mine was canceled because I am very happy with the original YC location that I have now. I was bidding mainly for the walk in closet. Don’t think it is worth the extra $$’s. Guess I wanted to see if I could get it for a low bid.
  19. Received the same email yesterday on my July 9 cruise on Seashore. Stated that I would receive another opportunity to upgrade in 24 hours. Strange wording.
  20. You might not ever know exactly what is included until you ask. From experience on only two but very soon to be three YC sailings. I will not ask for anything crazy but will never be afraid to inquire.
  21. We did. Our first MSC cruise. Discussed if gelato and crepes were included in YC experience. After several trips to both places my stomach confirmed they were. If only they were this July
  22. Frank, we’re you on the Seaside with your son three years ago in July???
  23. My cruise doesn’t sail until July 9th. I can’t thank you enough for posting your experiences. Helps me get through the day. LOL. Great detail. Love it
  24. My cruise leaves on a Saturday. If I am tested on Thursday, I will be in the two day range?
