  7. It might happen... But, it is against NCL's policy! If you can talk your room steward into doing that, tip well, because you might be getting them reprimanded, or worse.
  8. If the ship actually docks at Taino Beach (and you walk through the welcome center to where the sandy area starts) it is about 1/2 - 3/4 mile, or so. You need to go through the shop on the left to get to that area.
  9. DH & I took a long break from cruising while our sons were tweens to 20's. In the "old days" we could get escargot in the MDR. That doesn't seem to be the case since we came back in the 2010's.
  10. "Free" if you don't count the taxes, port fees, and DSC! (Which seems to upset people, because it's not actually "free", but is a nice savings.)

  12. You will be told "NO" on NCL, as it is their policy to keep them locked!

  14. I could be completely wrong, however, I believe you sign-up for the Pilates classes once onboard. Also, the painting-by-you classes. As far as things like origami (and such) those sessions will be listed in the Freestyle Daily onboard the ship. For those, you just need to show-up in a timely manner, to the location listed.

  16. When you are in the cruise terminal for check-in, you will be asked for the credit card that you will be using.

"On Embarkation day, I expect that the terminal will be fully staffed, so that everyone can get checked in and onboard as quickly as possible, this means that if the Haven or other dedicated stations are empty, they should help the regular passengers so as to move the line along. Have snacks and water for passengers if there is a delay in boarding." Nobody addressed this, so: NCL does not have their employees staffing the port check-in process! Those folks are employed by the port (or some agency contracted to the port). While you might see some actual NCL officers/employees around, they are trying to get everything coordinated towards disembarking the previous cruise, so the new cruise can move forward towards embarkation. Just like many businesses across the US, there might be staffing shortages, employee illnesses, traffic delays, etc. There are vending machines and water fountains in every port that we have been through, (some have had beverage station(s) set-up). Havens and Suites do have food and beverage available at each port.

  19. Club Balcony Suites are not "Suites". Why NCL keeps "suite" in the name is an ongoing question. The CBS is a slightly larger Balcony room with most of the space being used for the bathroom. For the added cost, a few "perks" are added.
  20. It has varied for us, but generally, about 4-5 days prior to the cruise.
