  1. Thanks, now we would all appreciate it if Allstate wouldn't make it so hard to get the cards now!
  2. Too many " drinks on us" ? 🤣
  3. Thanks but no thanks for me. I am on a cruise not at a convention!
  4. Okay this is a tough scenario to explain but I will give it a go. I can only tell you what happens in a no travel insurance scenario. If the person can't go and contacts Carnival to remove them it is considered a partial cancellation and since it is so close to cruise date it would be 100 percent penalty on their cruise fare. That means their fare is confiscated as penalty and the room is now only half paid for which leaves the other traveler having to pay the part that was taken as penalty. No show at the port avoids the penalty confiscation. When it comes to the cheers part, there are two choices. The safer way is to wait until it is deteremined after the no show that there is only one person in the room and pay for only 1 cheers which is slightly more expensive with the onboard price. Or cheers could be purchased for two people now at the lower price and when the no show occurs their cheers cost will be refunded to the original payment. I went this route myself in 2018. We had a 4 person room but I knew my younger daughter wasn't coming. We bought cheers for all 4 people. She no showed and her cheers was refunded to my credit card. If you have read out here a bit then you know with Carnival different company employees will give you different answers. So there could be a risk the prepaid cheers may not get refunded for the no show passenger. I got my money back but that was 4 plus years ago, I don't know for sure if it would be refunded now.
  5. See cruise ticket contract section 9 letter F (f) Beverage Policy: Guests will be limited to purchasing a maximum of 15 alcoholic beverages per person, age 21 and over, per day while on board.
  6. I don't drink much now in my 50's but was wondering for all those people who apparently go on a 7 day drinking marathon on a 7 day cruise 😉 .
  7. Is the 101 ounce beer tube one drink? Asking for a friend. Fishbowls, pitchers?
  8. I had my 600 dollar credit and bought a 250 dollar gift card on the Spirit last week.
  9. You can do that, but Carnival will place holds on your debit card in 200 dollar increments, just so you are aware.
  10. No playing pacman for me, thanks! Actually I am one and done with pacman, not worth the effort for 100 lousy points when I have 600k already 🤣
  11. And just like that the Ecard category and Carnival cards have once again disappeared from Allstate! They need to work on consistency.
  12. About 4 years ago we had 4 people booked in a room and my younger daughter was not going. We did book cheers for all 4 people to get the lower pre cruise pricing. My daughter was a no show and her cheers was refunded to my CC. Now this is Carnival, so your mileage may vary. The info on Elaine's post is for cancelling the cheers for people who are actually showing up for the cruise.
  13. I called room service to order the cocolate delight and mentioned it is being a platinum benefit to make sure I wasn't charged. I just got off the Spirit last weekend and there were no chocolate strawberries this time. Don't know if it is permanently gone or they were out of strawberries. It had 2 chocolates, two macaroons, and two cheesecake like circular shaped pastries.
  14. I haven't seen them on Allstate that I can remember but AARP does have the 100 and 500 cards right now. And they can be used similar to Carnival for bookings on board expenses etc.
  15. I can agree with you there, as a shareholder who has a ways to go to get back to even, I am thankful for all the big spenders 😉!
  16. If I want a less crowded experience, I just cruise on a spirit class ship. No need to spend all the extra money for a less crowded area that has a pool just like the rest of the ship. From my "commoners" balcony on the Panorama above the Havana area, the back "porch" areas were mostly deserted. I guess this is Carnival's version of a caste system.
  17. Your ship time will match the time in Cabo for your cruise on March 30th since the spring forward happens on March 12th. Mexico does not play with their clocks any more (smart move) !
  18. I have heard that, but didn't attempt to do it this way.
  19. Happens often to me also. Bookings come and go occasionally, but they eventually come back. Why this happens, i do not know.
  20. If you want the platinum chocolate delight you have to call room service and ask for that. And any bar for the water bottle you get for being platinum. And you get a 25 dollar casino credit at the Casino cage. You have to be proactive to get all your benefits now.
  21. I did the diamond/platinum self debark on the Panorama in Nov and this group was the first off the ship right around 8 am.
  22. For a few dollars more, they will keep coming!
  23. I think there was a cryptic countdown a couple years ago also that came and passed with no dire consequences. There are new sweepstakes coming later in the month so I am guessing the site isn't going away, which is a relief. We probably discussed it on this thread but I am not digging through 211 pages 🤣
  24. It is a great backup to Allstate which has become quite shaky at having the Carnival cards. I piad 64 dollars for a 5 year membership but have recouped that in way less than one year. They also have good restaurant gift cards at a discount and other things like Home Depot even.
  25. I think you are okay no one will be opening a credit card account with your VIFP number 😉
