  1. If that is the March Savings sale then you are okay to switch at no penalty.
  2. The portions are pretty small now. Off the Radiance last week and the fried chicken, which used to be two decent pieces of chicken, was tiny now and tasted like frozen Banquet chicken. I used to like their fried chicken dinner, but not so much now.
  3. Deck 3 is great for that on the Miracle! Outside area is large, shaded, and not crowded. Most obstructed view balconies on the Miracle have a good view across, unless you are at the front by the two larger lifeboats.
  4. If you want quiet places to read, the Miracle is your baby! Interior promenade on deck 3 front is a ghost town for the most part.
  5. There isn't one platinum benefit worth $300 dollars for him to book it instead of your cheaper rate. But yes, he still gets all his benefits.
  6. According to Cruise Critic legend, extra tips will result in the bartender dropping everything to get to you first and then they will empty the liquor bottle into your drink 😉 .
  7. No formal review but I can do a synopsis here. This was my first 3 day cruise and first time on Radiance. I have determined 3 days is way too short. Besides the crowds I mentioned above, everything was typical Carnival. So so food, my room steward was good, the ship was in good shape. Despite Carnival spending 200 million to retrofit the ship, I could still see the age in areas. Besides adding the rooms, the decor has become more blah to me. I actually like the gaudiness of the older ships. I am used to the easy to navigate decks of the Spirit class, so the crowds were way more than I am accustomed to except for the Panorama, which is also pretty crowded. It was a cold time at Ensenada, 65 degrees and wet and foggy on March 12th. I stayed onboard.
  8. I just got off the Radiance and it is one and done for me. I felt like a pinball bouncing off other guests! The hallways by Guy's and Blue Iguana are tiny and cause big traffic jams!
  9. It might be a bit cheaper still but not much now. 135 dollar bottle with 18% delivery fee comes to 160 dollars divided by 22.5 shots in a liter comes out to $7.08 per shot. I don't know what a typical shot costs on Carnival.
  10. Yeah, if you want to give up your firstborn you can get that bottle of booze.
  11. That's only on the big nude charter cruises 🤣
  12. If the wind is anything like on the "secret decks" I would have to say no thank you!
  13. Actually, you can get up to 25 Carnival cards per month now, as they are considered " premium " with a separate limit. So in reality if one were to purchase 25 five hundred dollar cards that would be 12500 dollars per month. It also doesn't affect your ability to purchase 5 other gift cards they offer.
  14. AARP has 100 and 500 ecards and they have been very consistent lately. They usually arrive via email within 5 minutes, sometimes faster, sometimes a bit slower but nothing major. I bought the 5 year membership for 63 and got back 8 dollars buy buying it with my bofa credit card at the time. I like to buy via Allstate when I can, but they haven been very inconsistent latelty with ecards and regular cards, the latter of I will not buy.
  15. Looks like the crossword has replaced the matching game for now. Tried it out and it isn't working well for me. Fortunately I have more points than I can ever use, but won't be doing the crossword again.
  16. I'd be more concerned out being in his path to the bathroom!
  17. I took the bait and booked a 2025 9 day to the Keys, HMC. Grand Turk, and Freeport. Nothing that can't be done from FL but cheaper for me to get to TX and the extra sea days are nice for me.
  18. This story about money being used in casino sounds rather fishy. Casinos don't open for several hours after boarding and the card would have been discovered missing long before that and replaced. Also your picture comes up at the register when you go to make any purchase, so unless the person who stole it is the aunt's evil doppelganger it seems unlikely.
  19. I typically will book online through Carnival and then have my big box travel agent take over the booking. I do this because often the big box doesn't show the best rates on their website. Sometimes, though, they have a much better deal that Carnival doesn't list. In that case I book directly with them.
  20. I have gotten a few bucks back to sail and sign occasionally but never an increase. My payment amounts have never changed one way or the other pre cruise.
  21. There is no way to just load it to your account, you are going to have to do a transaction of some sort. The only way to load to your account is to buy cruise cash and the limit is 500 per room and non refundable. Cruise cash is for use when you are onboard. To book excursions at a later date it would be best to leave the money on the gift card, or better yet, buy the gift cards when you want to purchase the excursions.
  22. Book Southwest and Vegas will give you reasonable odds!
  23. Inflation strikes allstate with reduced spins 🤣 the bright side is I can only lose twice in a row now!
