  1. They don't even bother with tablecloth on elegant night now, so renting a tux on board is highly outdated.
  2. Do they stop the basketball playing above the Cucina/ Jijis at night? We went to the lunchtime for the pasta and it was a nonstop earthquake above us from the basketball court on the deck above.
  3. I just got off Panorama on Saturday and they brought my lobster and prime rib together, no issues. I will say the hallways of the Panorama were nice and clean since they started charging for room service. The amount of food waste I saw on lido deck, however, was incredible.
  4. No problem. I recently had to change My daughter's cruise and we cancelled a cheers purchase that was made mostly with OBC but I had paid about 13 dollars with a gift card. I had forgotten that and one day a FEDEX envelope was sitting on my porch for the 13 dollars. Seems like a very inefficient way costwise for Carnival to send back 13 dollars via FEDEX but they do it. I would think an email with an egift card would save them a ton of money. They have done the egift card once or twice but it is rare.
  5. Per the menu on the Panorama the 5 dollar charge is there on the menu. I can tell everyone that the hallways are much cleaner now that there is a charge for room service. Way less trays of wasted food in the halls now, which is quite refreshing!
  6. You will be sent a new gift card and it will take a few days to get it back. For me it comes back FEDEX 2nd day air but it takes a few days for them to get it to FEDEX.
  7. Tracy Arm is a great excursion but has gone up in price a lot since I went in May.
  8. The truth is there is ZERO excuse for not allowing cheers on HMC. Claim is they can't keep track. Yeah right. They do fine job keeping track for all the per diem purchases. IF you somehow managed to go over the 15 limit they could just bill you at the regular purchase price for the additional drinks.
  9. Cheers is 5 dollars more per person per day on board(64.95 pp per day). The good news is you can now use that 600 dollars in advance to purchase cheers at the better preboarding price. When you add cheers to your cart and check out it will advise you of the ability to use your OBC.
  10. Best way to save now is buy Cheers before the cruise for the lower price with the 10 percent off gift cards purchased through AARP or Allstate rewards. If you use your BofA cash rewards card set to online purchases to buy these gift cards that will yield you another 3 percent off. If you purchase this way your daily cost will be 61.54 instead of 70.74 per day including the 18 percent gratuity.
  11. There are some on board photos of the Miracle dry dock on the Carnival Miracle page on the social media page that shall not be named.
  12. Plus one, everything you said above plus I love the triple length balconies to go with all this!
  13. You are correct. Tipping is now a great way to virtue signal. I feel the 18 percent added to drinks to be quite adequate. What cracks me up is seeing tip jars at drive thru fast food restaurants. Things are out of hand 😉
  14. I have been charged for the pool towels on two separate occasions over the years. I don't even use them. Had to call to have charges removed. I don't know who would want to remove the raggedy things they call pool towels from the ship.
  15. I bought one from Amazon from this link for 6 dollars with shipping included. Good deal. Now I don't have to borrow the room service trays 😉
  16. I simply find one of the numerous trays laying on the floor in the hallways, take it back to my room and clean it up, and I have a tray for the duration of the cruise 😉 . When not in use I stash it in the closet so the room steward doesn't remove it. The Spirit class triple length balconies make great dining areas in lieu of the lido area.
  17. That would be a two category upgrade from the hairy chest competition.
  18. Carnival has really muddied the water with calling a gratuity a service charge. It used to be that drink purchases had the line " gratuity" which is the 18 percent charge, followed by the "additional gratuity" line you could add to. Now the drinks receipt has "service charge" followed by a "gratuity" line. This play on words is duping people into thinking they haven't left a tip when in fact the service charge is supposed to be the tip.
  19. You don't need to do this any more. Carnival is now back to showing the document when you log in to Carnival.com. This was very handy for a while when Carnival stopped showing the document for some reason.
  20. I submitted on Aug 14th and was approved on Sept 13th so it took a whole month but they got it done.
  21. Red and up are afforded the water bottle. SO unless you are wet behind the ears new you get the water.
  22. According to recent testimony before congress, men too can now get pregnant so that is a whole lot more people eligible to claim they are pregnant 😉
  23. So when the headboard is a rockin don't come a knockin!
