  1. I don't know. It was just gone without any fanfare, not even sure when they took it out. It was a good secret though. On the Spirit it is not crowded at all most of the time. They are updating the spa area on the pride with the current dry dock. Hope that hot tub doesn't fall victim also.
  2. Unfortunately on the Miracle, the big hot tub in the fitness center is no more. Empty space now.
  3. You should think about applying for a moderator position here. Almost every topic on CC goes off topic sometimes a little sometimes a lot. And yes your post was off topic also. OP was talking about the lack of rowdiness.
  4. It was a nice big hot tub in a not crowded area, a real bummer!
  5. I think so, it just has to bill as Carnival cruise lines. I don't know if you can check to see how it bills in advance.
  6. My daughter checked her BofA card for me and no deal either. She has had it and helped me before. All these offers on different cards seem very hit or miss.
  7. On the Miracle they opted not to fix the hot tub in the gym but removed it instead.
  8. As I said above it wasn't on my Chase freedom card but I did find it on my BofA cash rewards visa so that made my day!
  9. Must be targeted, as I have Chase freedom also and no deal 🥲
  10. I think you are fine. The 12 day from Barcelona Spain is showing as available now for May 28th. Turns out all these "fabulous" and "brilliant" things going on aren't quite as billed. Appears to be cosmetic for the most part. There was talk of adding elevator shafts and rooms by a cruise director but that hardly seems likely now.
  11. I don't want Carnival spending too much on older ships, they are fine the way they are. I am 56 and want to grow old with the spirit class simplicity and lack of crowds. Everybody has champagne taste and Carnival is currently on a beer budget.
  12. Amen to this! Hero's bar will surely be replacing the sky box which is fine. The new dreams studio thingy will probably take the place of the hardly used conference area that became soul play area on the Spirit. Looks like Butterflies lounge is safe--getting rid of this would have been a disaster. And sadly my guess is the casino bar is history still. They just took away the bar from the miracle and other ships, so it must not generate the revenue that the additional casino space does. And goodbye David, guardian of the steakhouse 🤣.
  13. The 25 dollar platinum credit which they handed to me in cash 😉
  14. Pour your own and still pay a gratuity 😉
  15. It is a nice touch and probably much more sanitary than the dirty bacteria ridden towel that the non tablecloth tables are being wiped down with 😉 .
  16. Enjoy them while you can because just like the casino bar, they are on the chopping block probably at the next dry dock. Heald has said so. I mostly cruise Spirit class ships myself and I personally like the Spirit the best. The dining room not as gaudy as the Miracles! But gaudy doesn't bother me any way.
  17. I think the number of point codes has gone down but now they give you so many with the spins, scratch off, memory game etc instead. I have almost 700k points and nowhere to spend them until they bring back ecards. Now 1.75 per card to ship in mail and I don't have enough faith in mail where I live. The last ecards I was able to buy were in late November 2022.
  18. Technically you are correct but CCL Gifts, LLC is owned by parent Carnival. The cards definitely aren't for everyone.
  19. I haven't sailed from the land down under. Anyone out here know if the Australia ships have table cloth or not? The Splendor is down under with the glossy tables and I would think they are not using table cloth. The Spirit has no dates listed after Sept 2024 so its is possible it could be moved again. I am fine with or without cloth, just a curiosity at this point.
  20. I think the Spirit was down in Australia at the time of the conversions so they left it alone for the time being. For now I guess it has slipped through the cracks but will surely addressed at the next dry dock. This even made it to Heald's facebook page where he said they will be changed.
  21. I tried the web address previously supplied but it doesn't work for this either. Weird that one can print luggage tags a year in advance but cannot see the most basic information pertaining to the cruise documents.
  22. This method only shows what you currently have left available. If you have been buying various excursions you won't know the total OBC from this unless you add up all your purchases to the amount they show. Really lame this isn't fixed yet. It's not like reinventing the wheel to add back the document.
  23. It is better imho that they issue new cards, reloading old ones could become messy. Hopefully they start using ecards only for refunds, much more cost efficient for Carnival and safer for the recipient. Mail theft is becoming a bigger and bigger issue. My big box, while impersonal, does a very good job and their reps are more knowledgeable than the Carnival reps they have to talk to. They can apply gift cards right on the spot now without having to contact Carnival and then send an immediate email confirmation. On top of the gift card savings, the journeys cruises typically yield another 3 to 4 hundred in savings with their shopcard rebate plus another 2 percent off with the executive membership. And last but not least sometimes they offer 200 in OBC on top of all this that I can't find on Carnival's website.
