  1. Is there added tax? I've looked at all my purchases and some even with the 50% sale are more than what I paid. Buyer beware.
  2. Today - right now it says two hours wait. On hold right now but I might be giving up soon! I want to cancel and rebook some excursions for our December cruise. Anyone know if tax is added? If not I can do it through the cruise planner.
  3. Just sailed out of Miami last Sunday and NADA was enforced. I mean zilch, zippo, naught, nil, nix, nothing, null, zero, zip. We showed our Sea Pass cards from the IPhone wallet and that was about it. Disembarkation was the smoothest ever - just had to show our faces on the screen and that was it. Never mind all the Hemingway rum we bought in Key West! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‡
  4. That's very true -- starting tomorrow and especially Wednesday, the Bahamas will be off limits to ships.
  5. Here are the spaghetti models -- doesn't looks like the Bahamas will get the brunt of sub-tropical storm Nicole before it heads to Florida:
  6. It looks like almost all of Florida will be impacted. Our local news here in South Florida is warning us that the worst for us will be Wednesday and Thursday. Already the winds are strong here on the beach and it's only Monday. I sail on Lady G on Sunday so hopefully it will be long gone by then.
  7. Nice. They did accommodate you when they were able. Good to hear.
  8. That may be a canned response. That was exactly the explanation I got once when on the rare occasion my cabin was not acceptable. The moment I insisted and mentioned I would escalate the problem to the higher ups and Miami corporate, they "found" me another cabin at lightening speed.
  9. My six upcoming cruises have disappeared from the online cruise planner. On the App only one is showing with limited access. This is very frustrating as today is 45 days out for my Dec Odyssey and I can't check in. 😞
  10. Oh the Empress.....I sailed on her too. The only ship in the fleet with no Diamond Lounge at the time. Oh well they did have a Happy Hour on the first night for D and above. Missed all the other "retired" vessels. The Cunard experience must have been wonderful -- on my bucket list to sail on one - one of these days.
  11. I've purchased the Key as a solo cruiser and it worked for me. It was only a few dollars over Voom surf and stream. I realize it's not a great value if there are two or more per cabin as many have pointed out.
  12. I'll be on Grandeur for the first time out of Miami next month. Thanks for sharing your experience.
  13. Yes, but you don't get one on in your cabin (like before) unless you ask and sometimes you miss the day 1 compass. I like using both the APP and the paper version. Sometimes the paper version has more info and is more up-to-date.
  14. How many of the following ships have you sailed on? Which one are you nostalgic about and why? Which ship is the next to go? Grandeur maybe? 15. I happen to like older ships (cruised Empress LOL) but there was nothing enchanting about Enchantment, IMO.
  16. I thoroughly agree that the boarding process and muster drills have improved due to Covid. The process is much faster and does away with that pesky pre-covid PITA muster drill. The only thing that irks me about the changes is you have to ask for a Cruise Compass - no more copies at Guest Services - you have to stand in line to ask for one and they look at you like you have ten heads and tell you to use the APP. You can also ask your room steward to drop one off each evening - I don't mind asking but I liked the pre-covid method better.
  17. Cruise Ship Killers is a series about murders on a cruise ship. It's based on true stories. It's available for free on the Roku channel.
  18. Right tomatoes and oranges - fruit and vegetables? or just fruit? Are tomatoes a vegetable or a fruit?
  19. Only $5000? Sure it isn't more like $10,000+?
  20. Congrats!!! That's about all the accolades you get -- plus an extra free drink.
  21. Always a treat to have hot Coco on Cocoa Cay. 🀣
  22. Thanks for doing this Renee! A TP is definitely on my bucket list. Thinking of doing the reverse - Sydney to Honolulu in 2024. Following closely.
