  1. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely try this.
  2. I guess each ship is different. On Freedom we only had 6 participants so it was easy to seat us all together and serve us all at the same time - this helps out the wait staff. They did ask for our seating preference though, so if you prefer your own table they will accommodate you. The Sushi and Sake lunch sounds appetizing - I've been eyeing that for my future cruises. How was your experience? Do you recommend it?
  3. My last one was on Freedom in Chops and it was a wonderful experience - food and wine as well as table companions were delightful!
  4. Okay thanks - the photo on the RCI site looks like it's a 1.75L size - knew it couldn't be.
  5. Do you mean little roll call activity? I've found lately that there is more activity on the social media sites. Google your ship and sail date and something should come up.
  6. Do you have to call for this? All I see under Gifts for my 5 booked cruises on the Cruise Planner are Red or White wine with cheese and Sparkling wine with strawberries.
  7. Maybe you got lucky and received generous pours but as stated in the description they are suppose to be three ounce pours.
  8. Yes - like Chef's Table, it is intended to be a social as well as culinary event. I suppose you can ask for your own table if you would rather not talk to strangers but I've never had bad company at either a Taste of Royal or Chef's Table.
  9. I'm also interesting since I'll be sailing Rhapsody out of Barbados but not until April of 2023 so I'm sure lots of things can change by then.
  10. I have a Fujifilm FinePix XP140 Waterproof Digital Camera -- works great!
  11. "All suites on decks 17-18 are part of the ship's (RCI's first) "Suite Class Neighborhood". Exclusive amenities for these accommodations include keycard-access (to the elevators) and the Suite Sun Deck (deck 18) fitted with a plunge pool, bar, sunbathing area (with deckchairs and loungers)."
  12. Yes, I'm concerned about KW as well as my Grandeur on Nov 13, is not showing any excursions at all. Not that I need to book one with RCI -- have been to KW multiple times and can find things to do on my own, but I am worried that RCI will be switching that port for either Nassau or CocoCay.
  13. Not exactly the same grade / ply as below. As mentioned previously -- not worth the space to take your own. I could see if they provided newspapers or leaves for that purpose but the 2 ply or whatever ply they have is more than sufficient 😇
  14. Oh I see, thanks for the clarification. In that case, RCI should make good on the OP's winning bid.
  15. LOL -- not really sure why USF thinks it's in SoFLo - technically it is in West-Central area of FL.
  16. I'm sure RCI would have takers if they offered OV passengers a chance at a balcony cabin. The concern with the balcony and toddlers is that they can get creative and start climbing on the balcony furniture next to the railing. If all else fails and they are not able to move the OP, requesting the balcony furniture be removed is an option.
  17. It's $19.99 to be precise. If you have the drink package you get 25% off the wine pairing. They are just 3 ounce pours with a 3 ounce port with the dessert. Would be hard to get tipsy on that.
  18. You can get it with or without the wine pairing.
  19. It was reported that another American was killed by a shark attack three years earlier in around the same spot. So sad.
  20. Wow - had no idea the percentage was that high. I wonder what percent of that are those that don't make enough to pay and what percent are the uber-rich who know all the tax loopholes?
  21. Since public services are funded by taxpayer dollars, unless one doesn't pay federal, state, local and property taxes, there is no such thing "free" goods and services. 🤑
  22. It's true that nothing is truly "free". What is meant is that there is no direct cost to the consumer when ordering the tests, however that ship has sailed.
  23. IIRC, the Key breakfast on Freedom was a limited menu - as it was for the embarkation lunch - both in the same MDR section.
  24. You can take the water taxi from Bayside to South Beach and back. https://www.watertaximiami.com/
