  1. We always use T-Mobile service while in port (sailaway port or others). Never any charges. I just don’t get any internet inside of the ship other than top deck or near windows in restaurants and such. There I apply airplane mode.
  2. We had them 7 times on Anthem. And twice real. We going to have them for Thanksgiving week and 11 days in January and I’m sort of missing VB already. We rarely step on real balcony … but VB provide for some fun views in ports. Once we had a bird β€œflying” into our VB.
  3. We also got it on Enchantment … But we once cruised on Anthem after noro cruise… the way they washed everything and covered all tables with a solution you’d think it’s really bad.
  4. This is one of last insides (light is turned off) πŸ™‚
  5. Of course I am enjoying. Every time. I also do not think it in any shape or form resembles broom closet. This is just a wrong analogy. The question is why do some people resort to this?
  6. I did not know people were required to spend their vacation in the room. Only if they were sick or misbehaved. Enjoy!
  7. Nice to know. πŸ™‚ We mostly vacation in broom closet 5 times a year. )))
  8. Absolutely! Our kid graduated from school when we were late 30 and college some times later (we already could cruise more). Fully emptynesters for about 8 years (minus pandemic when we did 2 A/I) and instead of 2 cruises a year we do 5.. in modest accommodations.
  9. We had several terrific shows on Enchantment 12 day cruise this March and the rest of theater entertainment was good... and nice music everywhere. She offers more music than Grandeur as it also has Boleros. Ship orchestra was AMAZING! Aside from theater performance they offered numerous Jazz sessions. Anthem is grander ...and newer, and has more stuff to do, and Solarium is the best on high seas. We love both, sailed on Anthem in Jan 22 and 23 and Enchantment in March 22 and 23, and Anthem 9 times overall.
  10. It will ask on fifth device, right? Not on the first four
  11. Agree with you on all counts! Except we never booked suites. Whole ship for us is a one large suite! This is why we are on the ship. Music, shows, nice Solarium, gym, promenade (inside and outside if available). We are suburbanites (not buy our choice originally) and we enjoy somewhat active life on cruises. We don't like extreme crowds, but we find nice spaces. I won't be comfortable with a genie, butler etc... My friends were upgraded to suite like this and experienced similar.
  12. I would enjoy. I enjoy absolute majority of cruises. It just won't be $20K enjoyment. Maybe I am overestimating $20K ? πŸ™‚
  13. This is not a good indicator. My husband attends land casinos from time to time. He mostly plays $100 Blackjack tables ... not because we are rich. Most people who play these tables are playing smart. They won't take cards against dealer's 6 and break the table. Playing tables like these you have higher chances to win even though odds are always better for casino, blackjacks and craps (?) have the highest odds. Of course long game against casino never works anyway. Do not do it. πŸ™‚
  14. Usually insides. If price for balcony is similar or lower (happened on several occasions) we do book them. Especially if I know that I might need to work and have videoconferencing . Usually we only step on balcony 2-3 times per cruise for a short time... so not much sense in booking them. We did have OV several times, but it does not make any sense to us and we prefer cabins located higher than promenades where OV are rare. We cruise 5 times per year with 3 of them 9-14 days.
  15. Similar to what we had on our 12 dayer on Enchantment on 3/23. We had Italian on the second night and French on the third (and I think it was formal night). Italian was the only one night that repeated later.
  16. I don’t think mine had pieces of lobster. …
  17. We learned it by accident. She was put back in service to do Cuba, then Trump banned it. We were scheduled to do 4 nights Bermuda cruise with 2 days in St George and 2 in Hamilton... Amazing itinerary!!! Without DL (back then drinks were unlimited in DL) ... only with 3 drinks in bars. πŸ™‚ Unfortunately it was scheduled for July 2020...
  18. We cruised 3 times with Carnival (brand new Liberty, Miracle, Glory) as we were cruising with 8 lines till last years. Carnival was the only line we dropped completely. We did not see more drunks or parties than on other lines, it was not a problem. The ambiance wasn't there... too many tattoos , golden chains... We sailed on similar lines (pricewise ... NCL, MSC even RCI), and of course you meet some riff raffs everywhere (including HAL, Princess and Celebrity... do not remember on Cunard). But it is about overall numbers ... and activities, entertainment geared to them. Latest ships - Mardi Gras, Celebration etc look interesting, but I do not feel an urge to book.
  19. I have reserved MTD throughout this year and Jan 2024
  20. Diamond lounge is on every ship now. Empress did not have it.
  21. Maybe it is by state and amount. My husband was working at several dealerships and there was up to I think $500 allowed from CC. Dealerships did not want to pay 4% do credit card companies.
  22. My DH worked at dealership for 10+ years. It was a rule. Maybe some small down payment, yes. But not full amount. Not that we wanted to do this... but for points that would be great. πŸ™‚
  23. That is what we do as well. Only use CC and pay off. But I do not think we ever used CC for 20K purchase. I know you cannot buy a car on CC
  24. She has money. She (they?) do not want to spend so much on suites. Which is completely fine. But other people are other people. They do want to spend money. She cannot believe somebody wants to spend so much money. In her mind people who want to spend so much money are probably not that smart to begin with... and they put use credit cards for cruises. (Actually maybe it is a good idea to pay balance right away and get points?)
