  1. I always purchase 1 package for me aside from super short cruises like 6-7 days where we use our 4 free Diamond+ days and buy the rest. (we also have free data, messaging, and 0.25 calls in all ports due to T-Mobile service) This is a good price, but you can buy it anyway and watch in case it goes lower then you can rebook.
  2. What do you mean ‘I save 1,500”. Save from what? I pay to 401k… and we use some money for investments, but I don’t need to save for anything. I just pay for what I want/need.
  3. At least several recent college graduates (Masters) I know had $200k+ starting offers. Now.. they don’t cruise, but I doubt their exotic vacations cost must less. Where I live many professionals make … way more. This is in addition to rich people. We are not rich… but we cruise 5 times a year in regular accommodations. Our main issue was not affordability, but vacation time till we figured out how to work occasionally on cruises, but now we just have enough PTO days. I hope not many people cruise on credit cards.. unless they pay balance by the end of monthly cycle. If you describe everything as is then you CAN afford it. It’s just not your priority.
  4. We just sailed on Enchantment for 12 day ...and there were about 10 kids. Parents said that their kids had lots of fun in kids club. We also sailed on Grandeur for several Christmas/New Year cruises with almost 600 kids.. We saw teens gathering in public areas and having conversations, but most younger kids were in kids club.
  5. Difficult to say as out of 26 cruises with RCI only 2 shorter cruises Freedom (6 days) and Explorer (5) (back to back with other lines) were from Florida. We mostly cruise over holidays to “save” days and maximize number of cruises per year, so on Anthem it’s always Thanksgiving 7-8 dayers to Bahamas with lots of families. Lately we also do Southern Caribbean cruises for 11-12 days on Anthem in January. Older crowd. 12 dayers on Vision class out of Baltimore to Southern Caribbeans in March … also older crowd (we are in our very early 50s and I think in lower age bracket) . Cruise over Memorial Day on Oasis class to Bahamas out of NJ is a good mix of families. In September we lately do 9 dayers to New England/Canada Maritimes. This cruise actually features crowds from many states and countries.
  6. We are closer than you to for example NJ (4 hours)/Baltimore (6.5 hours)/Boston (1 hour)... but we would probably still drive for our 5 cruises. 🙂 We usually do 4 out of NJ and 1 out of Baltimore lately.
  7. They needed money during pandemic and right after, so they ran double points.
  8. They need to add wording about minor kids sharing parents status during their cruise, but doesn’t make this status permanent. This should be fair enough. Otherwise it’s a status inflation. Also it’s not completely fair to people who cruised more before reaching 18.
  9. Are there kids fares for any age unless RCI runs kids free promotion?
  10. On some ships like Anthem we are in Solarium from 6:30-7AM till 3-4PM. We do not go anywhere together except for quick breakfast. Before Anthem came along we never really spent time in pool areas... we would just stop in pool area, put stuff somewhere near pool, take a dip and leave.
  11. Depending on the size of the ship and a time it is easily doable. At 7 am not many people are in WJ for example. On older ships like Vision class you will see more people in WJ earlier, but WJ itself is much closer and smaller. Again... people eat different portions. I eat maybe a pouched egg with a sauce, small piece of bacon and onions. It is at worst 15 minutes. 🙂

Used to be $4 pp, now I think it is $5. Btw before they improved Junkanoo beach and walk there became more pleasant we also used to take taxi (or small boat) to Atlantis (go thru the Dig) or to Cabbage beach all the time. If you go to Cabbage beach I recommend not stopping near entrance, but go as far to the right as they will be willing to carry your lounger. Near the entrance it can get loud as they are greeting tourists and trying to get their business. And sometimes they argue between each other loudly.
  13. Last time (2 weeks ago) I was lazy again (we go through this 5 times a year) and just photographed my & DH passport photos. It was realllly bad. 🙂 They checked it when we were entering the ship and retook it.
  14. Well, it is really not for kids. Mostly it is acknowledgement of people turning pinnacle level, maybe with some entertainment. Usually some beverages (mostly champagne and wines) are provided. We skipped last 5 events as they are often in the morning of first or second sea day and we are too lazy to leave solarium. 🙂
  15. If underage during sailing child is supposed to have level parents have. It is strange that your minor daughter has a different level. As for Top Tier Event... we are D+ adults and we do not attend often, I cannot imagine what will be interesting for 13 years old there.
  16. Sad... was hoping Anthem would return to NJ. Maybe they will send us another Quantum class ship (other than Odyssey!).

We usually go to Junkanoo lately (right next to Margaritaville... It is pretty good beach. There is some food there too.
  18. We regularly eat in Solarium on Anthem for example. Take food from Solarium Cafe and eat.
  19. I honestly do not care what photo they use for identification. My photo I took at home were not the best too. 🙂 Lately I was so lazy to take photos (5 times a year!!!) I just photographed my passport photo! Quality was quire bad and they retook it at embarkation.
  20. We rarely go on RCI excursions and for the most part we do not tip.
  21. Why? Because you were nervous? We did check-in 12 times since restart of cruising, Never had to change password.
  22. If they do not like your photo they will retake it.
  23. 5 is too early. We like Diamond lounges. We did arrive earlier than MTD opened and they put us in Traditional Dining room on several occasions on Anthem.
  24. Classic section is gone, however if you see Royal sign near the dish it is Royal Classic dish.
