I would avoid itineraries which stop in Civitavecchia (port for Rome) as it takes about an hour to drive/ride there. Maybe fly to Rome explore and then ride into the port to start your cruise. Also I loved our Eastern Med cruise from Venice, but now ships are not allowed there. Cruises with Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split) , Montenegro, Greece are nice. IMHO explorations there is easier for a child than Rome

Unless you are sailing with different cruise companies same ships sail in Europe during summers and Caribbeans during colder seasons. Menus are same fleet wide. Are you comparing ships of same companies (for example RCI) ? We cruised with RCI in Western Mediterranean and here Same with NCL Eastern Mediterranean and here Princess from England to Belgium and Scandinavia and here except for different ports we did not notice much difference. Of course if you are tired from port exploration you can skip some late night activities

It is different as you have much more to explore, but other than that everything is the same about ships.

I have not noticed on Princess any different treatment of kids than on RCI. It is also family line. Probably individual experience.

When you say not friendly what do you mean? Princess just like Royal has kids clubs although I would rate RCI kids/teens programs higher than Princess's Of course how many kids really depends to the time and length of the cruise. How old is your daughter? Cruising in Europe is really sightseeing intensive so if kid is younger you need to plan accordingly. We did not take our son to Med cruise when he was 11, but took later... Mediterranean is a sea which has some storms sometimes, but generally much calmer than Atlantic or even Pacific.

Serving several dishes at a time isn’t a change. Different waiters do it differently even on the same ship. Always been like this. NCL just like RCI had various times in terms of food quality. Our weakest experiences with food were on Splendor of the Seas in 2004 and Explorer of the Seas in 2007 and 2009 (probably 2010 too). Food started improving since 2013.

It won’t for me.. and those are nursing sharks, they won’t bite. I absolutely hate jellyfish… and not because they sting. Just cannot stand them. Even the smallest ones. And I LOVE snorkeling

I am fine with any gift I receive. If I do not like it, I won't take it.

I like some Indian food including spicy one and very spicy. However I think smell will be very difficult to contain on the ship...

On our last cruises on Princess prior to pandemic wonderful quality Medallion internet was super cheap. For 4 devices and 10 days internet was $140. It was $7.99 a day for 1 I think. On Royal you can by internet on big sale for $13.99 a day... but you need to catch it.

I really enjoyed San Juan stop this January. It is beautiful, but I am very exited about addition of Taino Bay. Not sure if we will stay in port area which seems nice or find a beach, but excited.

The only show that has reservations is Spectra's Cabaret. However at least during our cruises it was repeated so many times you could always get a seat. They start allowing people without reservations 15 minutes prior to show.

They are available, but they are not placed in cabins with a hint that you are expected to pay. I am completely fine with envelops available for people wishing to pay additional tips in envelopes. Actually I am even fine if they are placed in rooms.. If it is officially declared that everything is collected (autogratuities are included)

I am thinking that they try to keep visible prices competitive... comparing to other lines. This way prices are lower. I also heard that there is some sort of lower tax on collected autogratuities because they are gratuities... If autogratuities are officially collected with a fare (or mandatory like resort fee in US) there will not be envelopes. As there are no envelopes now. People who want to pay additional tips manage it without envelopes.

They already do this. They will discuss additional tipping. But additional is additional. Money really go to crew as salaries are paid from autogratuities. Crew is salaried. What I really want is to stop smarty pants from removing it. They enjoy whole system because majority of people do not remove auto gratuities, but do not feel like contributing. Some also say that this was unexpected charge (and yes for some it is) and this is why they are removing it. This is why amount should be included. Everything additional is your choice which is a choice right now. I am especially concerned, because often I am witnessing discussion about removing autogratuities among people who I know for sure won't be doing cash tips. People teaching other people how to do this. I want them to pay what needs to be paid.

You cannot go from Elite to Elite Plus if you did not have enough earned points for Elite... You are Elite due to your status with RCI when you cruise with Celebrity, but you do not have points.of Elite. To become Elite + you need to earn them from 0. I like Elite benefits.

No. It is not towards Elite Plus. Your points total starts from 0 on Celebrity. Not from Elite. So you need to go through all levels, but during sailings you are Elite
