It is not about memories, but about comfort during cruise. It’s very convenient to have splash area during hot Caribbean cruise. We definitely saw splash areas on Oasis class and Quantum class. If baby will be potty trained by that time he/she can also use kids pools which look nice on mentioned classes.

If you never been to San Juan then just walking there should be plenty. I recommend visiting both forts: El Morriso and San Cristobal… old city is situated between them. Many beautiful narrow streets. Walk along harbor is also beautiful.

We were on the same cruise. Wonderful!!! I prefer Thanksgivings and Christmases as families are more interested in occupying indoor pool than solarium! 🙂 but overall it was great cruise. We didn’t notice any Covid or extensive coughing … now in December and January 2022 it was more than obvious! And back then some ports checked temperatures and mandated masks (Antigua for example)

This never happens during late fall and winter when only 1 ship is in port. When 3 ship are in port during a week it gets crowded and then this logic sometimes is used.

Why would people order more and not eat them?

When we are in Maine we only eat whole lobsters so any possibility meat was frozen is eliminated. Preferably in lobster ponds/schacks

Yes.. Our son served in US Army. Recruiter was a bit surprised he had his passport, many do not even though we do not live in Flint, MI.

We had 2 vacations back then. 5 days each. One we used for European cruise, another for domestic cruise. We do not tie getting passports for specific vacations. Got them right after we were naturalized and just renewed every 10 years (twice so far). It is not only for Cancun or Europe... There is Canada 5 hours from us too. Once every 10 years .... I got your point, it is just so easy to obtain it and it solves so many problems.

I know... but if you store it ... it will be cold, right? For me frozen previously lobster (and this is already warm water lobster) is a huge downgrade.

Entertainment on Anthem is We Will Rock You Gift Spectra's Cabaret These three have not changed since 2016 when we sailed on her for the first time In lounges The Billboard - Terrific group! Latin group Monnina . We saw 4 different Latin groups on our cruises on Anthem from Thanksgiving 2021. 3 were very good, one during Thanksgiving 22 not so much. Aerosmith Tribute - we did not attend as we are not huge fans Perry Grant - Schooner entertainer - he is great although a bit repetitive . Two guitar players - one in pub and another in Schooner. In main theater we had Illusionist Scott Alexander - Very entertaining The Great Dubois - juggling, unicycle, aerial etc - Very entertaining Comedians I am not a newbie, but I do not see entertainment going downhill... Aside from Anthem we were on Enchantment, Oasis and Adventure this year and all were more than satisfying in this department.

Just off Anthem. They allow people without reservations 10 minutes before show or later if there are spaces.

We just returned from Anthem's cruise and we have nice entertainment. It was our #9 on her and I do not see anything going downhill. However I heard that all cruiselines have trouble hiring people for many positions. As for food quality, we started cruising with RCI in 2004 and first 4 cruises were not impressed. From mid 2010s food went up in quality quite a bit, now we see some downs, but still very enjoyable.

I agree. Our first cruise in Europe was when we were 31-32 and had 10 days of vacation each. We combined week cruise and long weekend and had a nice cruise out of Barcelona. On our way back we even had 1 full day in London.

We travel internationally from the time we were 30 with 10 years old kid. Europe, Caribbeans. Maybe it’s more about priorities. When I check hotels on Cape Cod (near us) … people can travel internationally. All inclusive in Cancun (or other places) with flights are cheaper.

Passport takes time to process. Sometimes a very long time. Makes sense to have it and use it when needed. Numerous people get driver license even while aren’t planning to use it right away. You suddenly want to have a vacation in Cancun to where you need to fly with a passport, you are out of luck. Anyways … people are doing stranger things.

Generalization? Less than 50% of American citizens have passports. Many got passports after they became mandatory to fly to Mexico/Canada/Caribbeans. I’m not generalizing … Happy New Year!!!

On Celebrity it’s unlimited, but only from 5 pm to 7 pm. Drinks are from special menu.

I don’t think there are lounges now. You get drinks off of Captain’s Club menu in most bars.

Me? I only lived here for 27 years. I constantly read hear about tough choice to get passport or not to get. People think less about going out and spending same amount. 10 years…

I moved to US 27 years ago from the largest country in the world. We could travel to as many or more places inside which we did. However till that time we couldn’t travel abroad much. Some did, but it was not easy. It was a dream to travel… To have US passport (or opportunity to have it) and not to travel….. It costs only $10+ dollars per year.

They did. However US is the only country where people don’t get passports in some weird reason. $100+ is really nothing … it’s a fraction of cruise cost and good for 10 years! Rules change. Some time back you could fly to Mexico or Canada, or Caribbeans without one, now you must have it. Why not spend this little for a peace of mind? Will you even remember about in several months?

Right. Send Wonder to Bayonne, NJ for winters. Just kidding. Leave us Anthem with the best solarium ever. Wonder was meant for China.

We had Lobster tails (in any quantities) on all ships this year on second formal nigh. Anthem, Adventure, Oasis, Enchantment. 7-12 days. Warm water lobsters of course. I heard that in future it will be just one, but New England lobster tail. I would take this change. Would prefer claws, but ...

We go from time to time. Problem is very often they schedule it at 10-11 AM on the first sea day. I don’t want to change from pool clothes to something else to go.
