Find a pair of connecting cabins. As you look at them from the hall the one on the right has the bed by balcony. The one on the left has the bed by the bath. All balcony cabins follow the balcony, bath, balcony, bath balcony pattern so just work your way down the hall. Or, find a room that holds more than 2 guests and it will always have the bed by the bath and the cabins on either side of it will have the bed by the balcony.

Lift and shift was s previous program during the pandemic and is no longer offered. You were actually very fortunate that Royal offered what they did.

It actually has nothing to do with keeping the original reservation numbers and even if the op had moved her cruise and kept the same reservation number she would not qualify. With the lift and shift program they protected the entire booking which included the kids who were free. That was a one off situation and would not apply to moving a booking in current times.
