  1. Yes, that's OK. I'm a little surprised that the Denver FBI office hasn't issued a warning about crossing the street and the possibility that bad actors (mainly people looking at their cell phones) could run you down. I expect this is more likely to occur than the USB charging issue.
  2. It would be easier to read this if you had capitalized the first letter of each sentence.
  3. Really? A few people on Cruise Critic, which is a very small population with a lot of members who will complain about anything... real or imagined, doesn't exactly sound like a basis for making sweeping conclusions about the availability of cruise line websites.
  4. That's simply a conclusion you've drawn from your recent experienc and it's not well supported. I had zero problem over the weekend with the Celebrity website and it seems as though others had no issues. Good that you're back on line and can do whatever business is necessary.
  5. Lisbon is nice to visit. Apparently, there are others who don't share that opinion.
  6. A little scarce on detail. Why not book a different one with a competitor?
  7. At least Sidney, British Columbia is spelled differently and it would be tough to accidently end up there.
  8. I'll take your word on the flags and even though I've never been to Sydney, Australia I'm pretty sure that's the Opera House in the background. What I am sure about is the bridge shown in the Celebrity advertisement is definitely not in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia... Sydney or Seal Island.
  9. I'm fortunate to have never experienced this in about 20 X cruises.
  10. It's relatively recent. I wouldn't characterize it as a policy.....
  11. Too philosophical for me to understand. I was just commenting on shorne's inference that cheap and selfish people can't afford cruises that attract passengers who would not be chair hogs; whether the well-heeled are immune to the scourge of chair-hoggery is not entirely clear to me.
  12. Being cheap and/or selfish has/have nothing to do with what a person can afford.
  13. Glad I looked through this thread.... I learned a new word: sempiternal.
  14. From the Princess website: Am I eligible for cruise credit if I cancel? The standard Princess cancellation policy does not grant cruise credit, but residents of the U.S. and Canada (excluding New York, Puerto Rico and Quebec) may be eligible with Princess Vacation Protection.
  15. It was so much easier to simply hate Toronto; with GTA, way too many innocents get thrown in! Besides, for YYZ, blame Mississauga for that 'Crime Against Humane Air Travel'.
  16. Cabins located on lower decks, closer to amidships will experience 'less' motion than those elsewhere. For your situation, on a ship the size of Ovation of the Sea, a few decks anywhere on the ship are unlikely to be of any practical difference when it comes to movement and sea (motion) sickness. The weather would have to be particularly bad that there'd be much noticeable difference around the ship and, if that's the case, it's going to be way too late for those prone to motion sickness. Don't overthink this and enjoy the trip.
  17. C'mon now, let's be serious about this. The question was about robots, not regenerating cyborgs with political aspirations!
  18. Doesn't matter what I think you should leave; if you've decided that $5 is 'fair', then just go ahead and do it.
  19. I think it's too much but if you're comfortable giving a $5 tip for your drinks then go right ahead. No doubt the recipient appreciates it.
  20. I'm not an Aussie but I'm sure the board thread contributors won't mind me asking a question; earlier today I booked a B2B on Diamond Princess for late December, 2024 to early January, 2025 (14 day NZ and 10 day Tasmania). What might I expect on the Diamond as far as condition of ship, service, entertainment, etc... I know this can all change at the drop of a hat but there must be some opinions from recent experiences.
  21. I suppose he could be wondering about the cash flow from the employee to the family at home?
