  1. I agree with you and responded to the two Qs same as you. We are non-drinkers so paying for more than standard makes no sense to us. We just add on the pre-paid grats, get wifi for half price (Elite rate) and go from there. We haven't sailed with Princess for a few years (pre Ocean Ready App and Medallion) and have found the whole thing somewhat more cumbersome than previously but, just the same, have booked four cruises over next 16 months and looking forward to enjoying them all.
  2. Conversely, it would be interesting to hear from the majority of passengers who are not Blue Chip but frequent the casino to lose their money.
  3. OK, I see you're flying i to MAD. Cannot comment on the two hotels other than I have stayed at Only You Atocha and it was excellent; I believe Only You Boutique is a step up. How are you planning to travel around Madrid? Unless you hire taxis, I don't think there is a good chance you'll make the 0945 at the Palace.
  4. The main entrance is at Rex's Roar sculpture. Rather than walking, I'd suggest you take the Rapid 215 from Santa Fe Depot which will drop you near the entrance to the zoo.
  5. You don't need any more jackets; you're likely already planning to take along more than you'll need.
  6. See my edited post. Try https://www.google.com/search?q=royal+caribbean+consent+form&oq=royal+caribbean+consent+form&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTEwNzE4ajBqN6gCALACAA&client=tablet-android-samsung-nf-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  7. The consent form is for children 17 and under. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/faq/questions/what-if-i-am-traveling-with-a-minor-and-i-am-not-their-parent-or-legal-guardian minor-traveling-without-parent-or-guardian-form.pdf
  8. You're declining a complementary cruise because of vaping in the casino?
  9. chrysalis provided a listing of the different status level benefits. My question to you is .... 'worth' what? The time and expense of accumulating enough cruising credit to reach Elite status level?
  10. Book what you want now with a refundable deposit and if you get a better deal in October, cancel.
  11. Won't make much difference. This is not close-in, drive-by sightseeing; the ship will be well offshore during transit and the 'views' won't be that great. As you approach ports and areas of interest, the whole idea of north/south and port/starboard loses significance as far as what you'll be able to see from your balcony.
  12. If you trust the government.... no.
  13. Take a taxi from/to your hotel from/to Roma Termini. It's a hilly half hour walk between the train station and your hotel neighbourhood. Take a train to/from FCO and Roma Termini.
  14. A pretty exhaustive list; thank you. Can you comment on whether OBC can be used to book (pay for) something prior to the cruise i.e. advance booking of an excursion?
  15. The Trenitalia site has been a little quirky the last few days. As euro cruiser suggested, look up trains for October 4 and simply go forward from there to see the schedule for October 5. I have attached a screen shot for the times you are likely interested in. Note that (with the exception of the Leonardo Express solution, all the changes are at Roma Ostiense. Given the airline arrival and fooling around at FCO on the morning of travel, you should consider purchasing your ticket upon arrival.
  16. Other than taxi, there are few 'easy' ways to get from your hotel to Granville Island. Check out this site for transportation options. https://granvilleisland.com/directions-and-parking
  17. The Westin Bayshore in downtown Vancouver? It's a couple of miles.
  18. I have no doubt that the EU will publish copious amounts of guidance on how people determine their age. Me, I have always used my age up to my most previous birthdate i.e. until June, 2024 I will be 66.
  19. Here is a screen shot of an FAQ from the official ETIAS site. Note that the age does not say 70 and above. It says over 70. I interpret that as 71 and above; much like under 18 is 17 and below. Maybe it will all change when they finally introduce the ETIAS.
  20. You can also lower your expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised when even the most basic things are more than adequately done.
  21. The magic of being able to easily parse things out on the internet.
  22. It will be pretty much what you're used to having on Caribbean cruises.
