Youngest Self Made Pinnacles (Non Inherited)?

Been wondering lately, does anyone how old the youngest Pinnacle member who earned it by cruising (not marriage/parents) is?

I have met lots of Pinnacles but all seem to be 50+. I met a guy who was probably in his mid 30s last cruise but he inherited through his MUCH older wife.

My lady and I are Diamond, we made it at 30 years old (her) and 31 years old (me). And we sometimes get looks like "these kids snuck into the lounge"

I cannot manage what a young Pinnacle would get. So it got me curious, what the youngest Pinnacle?

Hmmm. I'd be interested in hearing that as well.

If all goes according to plan, my son (now 16) would be Diamond by the time he's 30. And I've seen people on here who say they have minor children who are Diamond. Strange that you would get 'the look' being in your 30's.

You've got QUITE the cruise history. #lifegoals :-)

Firstly pinnacle is the only status that cannot be inherited and has to be earned.

That said DD is halfway there in her own right and just turned 15. Her goal is to make it by 18:D

(Told her to get a job!;))

Correct that Pinnacle status cannot be gained by being the child of a Pinnacle parent, but it can be earned by being the significant other of a Pinnacle member.

That's interesting because when I spoke to C&A I was told my DH would have to get the points himself (I have a few more points than him:D) Another example of consistently inconsistent info I suspect!

Spouse Pinnacle is connected 100% met two couple like that. The much older wife couple and another couple who the husband cruised every week solo and she would join him on occasion.

He has over 700 pts she barely broke 200 pts. They had just collectively made Pinnacle

If this is the case. It could bite Royal. I have about 20 more (actual) points than my wife (due to single bookings). So when (if) I become pineapple and get a "free cruise" My wife would become eligible for another "free" cruise. 20 points later.

18 year old Pinnacle wow, that's amazing, do you think she would be allowed to cruise solo at 18 since she is freaken Pinnacle!

Our daughter was Diamond at 17. College is slowing her down on the road to D+:D

Might be one of the youngest Self Made diamonds. Was she allowed in lounge by herself?

If she can afford it she can cruise whenever she wants:D. She's been D+ for a few years now. The trouble I have is I was trying to book an X cruise to compare their suite program and got told no way was she switching lines till she makes Pinnacle:rolleyes:

Also she's never been allowed in DL by herself. Even with us she's been told no on some ships.

She did love the Royal treatment she got on Jewel a couple of years back. She was the youngest Top Tier the LA said they could remember on the ship so for the picture they actually had all the top staff for the picture not just the Captain. She got quite a few looks when she was escorted to the reserved table!

If all goes as planned, our son should make diamond before he turns 9. He is at 56 points now at 7, and we should get another 18 for our Christmas cruise next year when he is 8, so he will be at 74 and we talked about doing Alaska in summer 2018 - so that would put him over the 80 mark. I am not sure about getting him to D+ or pinnacle as we may branch out and start doing more land-based trips as he gets older.

If all continues, we should be PC next year in just under 10 years. As of now, 196 points to go. Actual cruise nights is only around 350 or so, the extra points came mainly from suites and solo cruises. A few points were earned via the conversion and a few were promotional (Diamonds in December).

Actually you cannot inherit Pinnacle status. Only up to D+. At 18 you revert to actual number of points earned but retain status. So you could easily be 18, Diamond Plus but only have 100 points.

Correct. Other than marrying into Pinnacle status it has to be earned on its own. We met a 9-year-old Pinnacle member on Oasis in January, at the Pinnacle event. She is the grandchild of a very generous couple, and has earned her 700+ points by cruising with them.

I'm guessing she is the youngest.
