Everything.. Norwegian BLISS! - launch April 2018 -

Recommended Posts

Answering my own question, yes indeed it looks like that’s what has happened

As soon as she passed the Emssperrwerk (dam and lock at Gandersum) the towboats leave her and she runs under her own power with no assisstance any more. That area (Dollart) is open sea and she can turn around. The whole river passages she´s going backwards assissted by two towboats which are pretty much fixed to the ship (one at the bow, one at the stern).

This is the regular procedure.

When we were on the Breakaway last May you really could tell how weathered the screen became after (at the time) only four years. Maybe they realized this and decided to change the design of it? I'm intrigued as well.

Only 255 more days for me LOL

Is Spice H2O a smaller area on the Bliss than it is on the Escape? When I look at these photos it seems pretty tight in there. Also are the two domed antennas at the bow of the ship going to be moved to one of the decks up top? They look awkward there and I'm guessing that they weren't installed due to clearance issues on the river?

Looks comparable, although Bliss has a larger overhang at the bar...

You're right, looks pretty similar when side-by-side. I do like that they went with a tiered layout on the Bliss, that should make things feel a little more private and cozy when laying in a lounger!
