Sip & Stream booking last week caused RCCL system to cancel my fully paid cruise res

Last week I cancelled my drink packages and voom and booked the Sip & Stream package at $48/day.

Great deal, right? NOT! Royal Caribbean's system cancelled my fully paid cruise reservation!

My travel agent quickly grabbed my cabin # and contacted Royal Caribbean. Turns out it happened to a number of reservations and IT is working on the problem.

Since, my cruise reservation was cancelled by RCCL, my dining times, show times, and excursions were all lost, also. HUGH mess!!! My agent was able to rebook everything with a slight change in dining.

Check your reservation and make sure it wasn't cancelled.

After my agent contacted me about this mess, I checked my email. I received an email from Royal Caribbean that stated - A change has been made to your reservation or guest status. Due to this new "cancelled" status in your reservation, we have cancelled all reservations made using our Cruise Planner pertaining to each guest listed below.

Totally inexcusable.

This happened to me also. TA is working on it today.... fingers crossed it gets worked out.

Hope your TA was able to reinstate your reservation and you didn't lose your cabin. Let us know how things work out for you and if Royal Caribbean offered anything.

I got my room back but I lost everything that I had bought on sale. 3 zipline excursions, 2 Internet packages, 2 kids drink packages & the 2 sip & stream alcohol packages. I have to buy everything again not on sale. But they will give me a on-board credit if I repurchase online everything I had previously bought! Still frustrated but happy I did get my room back. As they told my TA that it was on hold for another booking.

I say that's totally unacceptable - RCCL's error - not yours! They should be readding all those extra free of charge AND offering OBC for the inconvenience and stress. Call back and demand to speak to the resolutions department!!

Is their OBC offer the difference between the regular price you have to pay now from the sale price you paid or a higher amount? Their gain because you're forced to spend the credit onboard the ship, so they keep the money in house, while you have a credit card bill to pay.

I agree that this is unacceptable. Resolutions should be able to fix this if you have proof of what you had. Even if they can't figure out a way to add these things without fully charging them again, you should get the difference in a credit card refund.

It's easy en,Pugh to take any OBC out in cash and use it at the casino.

While I agree that the OP should get some OBC for their aggravation it sound like in a roundabout way they are being made whole for their cruise planner purchases.

All this mess because some people were able to get a discount on drinks and voom....... it was like $9 (11.99 and 46 or 49) I have seen many people getting better deals. I get that it may have been done in error but why make it worse by deleting peoples stuff. Good for the OP who had an agent on top of things, but what about those people who don't check emails or the website. They will travel and try to board without having a room. And even if that happens to just one person rccl should fire all those involved. Let alone those like the OP who will have to continue to fix this mess only trying to put it back to what they wanted. I get that this is a business, but that should never come before the customer. At least it looks like they are trying to make it whole again.

And this is precisely why I decided to leave my drink package and Voom purchases separate on my reservation, rather than cancelling and repurchasing to save myself $7 (literally). I don't trust Royal's IT dept. to run the website without flaws.

Unhappy here too! On Sunday same thing happened to one of three cabins we have booked for next Sunday. Spent all day Sunday & Monday getting cruise reinstated. Got an email this am - last night RCI cancelled it again. News was sent to us by our TA who stated she will get it resolved. That was 11am, now 5pm still nothing.

Are you on the Anthem too? Is it March 5 or 12?

This crap totally makes me never want to sail on RCCL again after our FOS sailing in 40 days. A website that frequently doesn't work well. A cruise planner that shows a blank white screen day after day when I click on something I need. Food and service quality going down in many respects. Likely done. Shouldn't have veered away from the more expensive DCL.

My Sip & Stream package was much better than your offer. I paid $48/day, so I received VOOM for free. My previous drink package alone was $49/day. When I saw the offer, I thought they must be having a problem getting people to book VOOM and put out this great discount, so people can see how good their internet works. Remember how sloooow it was 10 years ago.

My TA contacted Royal Caribbean and they reinstated my cruise reservation. They also reserved everything I had in my calendar and gave me OBC. I knew my TA would come through for me, she always does. I just wish Royal Caribbean would increase her commission, she was more stressed out than me.
