What is the fastest way to get to the airport on last day?

Recommended Posts

We have a 11:20 am flight out of FLL at the end of our cruise on the Allure in January. We are 4 adults and 4 children travelling together. What would be the fastest and easiest way to get to the airport in FLL on the last day? I'm assuming 2 cabs but will there be enough space for all people, luggage and a baby stroller? How easy is it to get a taxi fast? I know there are shuttles but at $8/person, it becomes pricey for all 8 of us....

What are your thoughts on this?

THanks.

Make an advance reservation with SAS transportation.

Agree..SAS rates will probably be $8.00pp adults and $5.00pp children 11 and under..This is really not a bad rate for Florida from FLL-Port Everglades, even though it's only a 10 min. ride.. With your size group a van taxi will charge you more, and it's doubtful you will all be able to fit into two regular taxis with luggage & a stroller. Better to have pre-arranged private transportation. Enjoy your cruise !!!:)

As soon as you head into the luggage terminal, grab a porter (or two) (TIP) They will grab your luggage and a couple of taxi's in no tme. They are very good at "getting the taxi" . We do this everytime and are always at the airport before 9:30. No worries.

Totally agree with the above. Use the porter. It's a very short ride to the airport. If you take 2 cabs, instead of a taxi van, you all will meet up at the airport. You'll be apart for a very short while.

Relax, you'll do just fine.

Enjoy Allure!

Never had such a quick ride to the airport as we did in taxi from Port Everglades! Would say the taxi is your best mode of transportation unless you all want to be together, then the SAS trainsportation might be your best bet. There is still a tip involved on both also.
