How do you feel...?

How do you feel when the photographer tries to interrupt your meal to allow them to take a photo?

We don't buy any of the photos on board - and the last cruise we never even went to look at them. However, I still let the photographers do their thing and although the interruption at dinner does exist - it only takes a few seconds and they move on. So to answer the question - it doesn't bother me in the least.

If I'm in the middle of a meal, I'd simply ignore the photog.

on Royal Caribbean, we get coupons for a free photo. so, on that line, we pose and smile, hoping one of the photos is worth taking home. Otherwise, I am apt to decline.

Since they have already interrupted us, I just let them take the pic and go away. Haven't bought a picture in years.

I'm not crazy about it, but some of our best pictures were taken at dinner. so I grin and bear it.

Not much different than the waiter coming aroung asking you to sign up for wine tasting, or if you would like mineral water etc. A simple no thanks works. But we too have gotten some of our best pics from the photo during dinner.

Just wave them away as in no thanks, only takes 2 seconds.

To ALL the photographers on the ship because we really don't like those sort of posed pix!

It only takes a few seconds for them to take our piuctures, and although we rarely buy the photos, one of the best pictures ever taken of us was at dinner on a cruise ship.

It only takes a second or 60 for them to take a photo, but we never buy them. I don't care for all the used glasses/plates on the table to be in the photo. But I don't argue with them, just let them take the photo and go away.

 

We wait until the last night and just purchase one formal shot as a remembrance.

 

I don't care much for boarding photos nor port photos either, just a personal opinion. Candid photos you take with your own camera work for me.

Embarkation-- we just say no.

 

At all the ports as you are leaving the ship -- we just say no.

 

At dinner -- again -- we just say no.

 

We haven't bought a picture in years.

I just smile and say, "no thank you." After all they are just doing their job and since I am not sure if their supervisor is nice or demanding I rather not add stress to their jobs.

It's not a big deal to me. We usually go ahead and pose and once in a while buy a picture, but not often. Those few seconds of interruption is not worth worrying about to us.

 

We don't do many of the pictures at the gangway in ports, though.

I usually just say "no thanks" or make a really dumb face when they go to take the picture.

We always avoid the ones elsewhere on the ship by just saying "no thanks" and stepping around or over or on the photographer.

It's no big deal for me, sometimes I'll go down to see how the pic turned out but I am never surprised when half my eyelid is drooping down on one eye - I'm not photogenic at ALL! :D

It doesn't bother me. He/she is only there for a couple of minutes. I don't typically buy the cruise line pictures but to smile for a minute or two at dinner doesn't affect my cruise experience.
