Three HAL ships in Pt. Everglades today 1/2/12

Noordam, Westerdam and Nieuw Amsterdam arrived Pt. Everglades this morning, along with X Equinox and Solstice. Busy day in paradise. (As of 6:00am)

I think the Maasdam is also in port today as well...make that four!:)

You're right. I see her way out there, several miles from port. She should be in within the hour (6:15am).

Westerdam is just rolling in now. Maasdam is coming in right behind the Solstice.

We get on Maasdam today but the holland america rep said is coming in sick. They didn't say how many passengers have noro but the are delaying boarding till 130. Any one down at port today bring your hand sanitizer:)

Queen, I'm sorry that has happened to your embarkation. Hope they get her cleaned up for you and you have a great time.

 

We sail on Eurodam next saturday and I've got my fingers crossed about Noro. Always a potential problem this time of year.

I'm sure the crew of the Maasdam will do their best to sanitize her. Have a great cruise! We just came off of her 2 weeks ago and I miss her!

Really sorry to hear that Maasdam has noro. We sail on the next sailing and I hope they do a real good job cleaning her up.Imagine having Noro and no working toilet like on ZUiderdam?

Oh my, I hope they clean up the Maasdam for you...and for us next cruise. On our 2nd Noordam cruise out of NYC, we had an outbreak of Code Red. It didn't affect us that much except the fear that we'd contract it was huge. As I recall, they deep cleaned when we got to New York after we disembarked.

Sheila, I recall we were in code red on the Noordam. I don't mind being served our food, in fact I prefer not having everyone touch everything. Just don't want to get sick.:eek:

Well, there's nothing we can do...it is the time of the year...unfortunately. I'll have to remember to throw some Clorox wipes in the suitcase.

It's like attending a Holland America convention at the Marriott. Even have some world cruise folks who are here early from overseas.

 

What usually seems as the longest morning as we wait for van to Nieuw Amsterdam.

Celebrity Solstice at 12:00 noon

Celebrity Equinox at 4:30

Maasdam at 4:30

Westerdam at 5:00

Noordam at 5:00

Nieuw Amsterdam at 5:00

 

Gonna be here for all of them:)

The information is posted in the Port schedule of the Port Everglades. They sometimes do update the times, but usually not till closer to their departure time. At least that is what I noticed when watching departures.

Carol - she might be delayed 1/2 hour, but I am guessing that is the max. When the Prinsendam had to be deep cleaned we left on time. It was the embarkation that was delayed. But since, everyone was checked in, it took little time

Well, hope you're right because I have to be out of here at 5:15 for DH's birthday dinner. Another sail away I'll watch from my phone. After watching the post count from my phone the other day, not my daughter and her family will know just how nutty I am. This has become a terrible obsession.
