Marysunshine Posted June 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Just got off the NOS a week ago. Turned emerals mid cruise. Do they automatically change your status on the website? Do they mail you something? What is the process? Thanks in advance for any info.

Cigar King Posted June 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Just to add to what was said, if you have a cruise coming up soon, you can contact C&A and they will push through the process so you have your new level in time for your upcoming cruise. You will get your Diamond pin on the cruise AFTER the cruise on which you turned Diamond. It will be in your stateroom when you board. Emerald is a newly created level. It's possible you just jumped over it!

ARCruisinNana Posted June 16, 2012 #10 Share Posted June 16, 2012 Turned Diamond in December - never got anything for Plat, Emerald or Diamond Emerald is a newly created level. You were probably already past the entry cruise points level for that level so you wouldn't have received the pin. I can't explain why you didn't receive the platinum pin, but they used to mail them. They have gotten a lot more organized recently. Have you cruised since the cruise on which you turned Diamond (last December)? You should receive your Diamond pin on your next cruise. Enjoy your Diamond benefits!

Cigar King Posted June 16, 2012 #15 Share Posted June 16, 2012 The pins seem hit and miss. I'll bet if you saw the LA on board s/he would take care of hooking you up.

RCI Cruisers 004 Posted June 17, 2012 #17 Share Posted June 17, 2012 It's usually a week to update your cruise status. Cant help you with the pin, we are Diamond status and have never got a pin. The cruises are just as much fun without the pin !
NavyCruiser Posted June 29, 2018 #18 Share Posted June 29, 2018 We've just made Emerald. But didn't felt like our Platinum status was as good as our Carnival's Platinum, where we truly enjoyed Priority embarkation & depart, & free laundry (so only need to pack half as much). Looking at RCL's Emerald status, doesn't look like much of an upgrade. Seems like everyone's who a past cruiser has priority embark, so will it save much embark time...? Thanks,

gerif Posted June 29, 2018 #21 Share Posted June 29, 2018 :rolleyes:Why would you think Carnival’s Platinum is actually the same “tier” as RCI’s Platinum? How does their loyalty program compare at the Diamond level?
