nelly55 Posted October 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2013 The first answer is correct, we always book a JS and always receive double points. All the other suite perks such as concierge lounge access are for GS and above.
cruiserhal Posted October 31, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Yes, we always get extra points for a JS. We book a JS for the extra room and the extra points. Go for it.
ahecht Posted October 31, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2013 Yes, although technically you get 1 extra point per night, not double points (for example, if you get two points per night for cruising solo, you only get three for cruising solo in a Jr. Suite, not 4). ShipRiders Posted October 31, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) That is incorrect. The answer is NO. You only get double C&A points for booking a Grand Suite and above. You need to pay double deposit for grand suite and up. Double credits per night indeed go for a JS and up if were talking only suites here. Edited October 31, 2013 by ShipRiders To change to credits per night instead of points Yikes
cruisenfever Posted October 31, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) That is incorrect. The answer is NO. You only get double C&A points for booking a Grand Suite and above. The answer is definitely YES. You may not get full suite benefits in a JS because you do not have a Gold Card, but you do get double points. Footnote #14 on the C&A Members Benefits page......... "One Cruise Point for each completed night of sailing and an extra Cruise Point per night when you purchase and sail in suite accommodations (categories RL, RS, PS, SL, TS, A1, A2, A3, CL, OS, FS, GS, JS) and/or sail in any category and pay a single pricing type for double occupancy stateroom. All other rates including Travel Agent rates, as well category SI and SB, are excluded from single price type extra point promotion". "Cruisetours are included as an additional night per each day on the cruise tour. Points will be awarded by rate paid not rate berthed, for example, in the instance of an upgrade from an outside to a suite category".
