ckrobyn Posted February 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I want to pinch myself!!!!! :D The upsell fairy called last night and made an offer I could not refuse......so, the Royal Suite is mine for 7 days!!! Adventure of the Seas, Feb 23rd. I was originally booked in an Owners Suite. Obviously this is my first time in the RS and I'm looking for any and all information about the suite and of course the amenities:)

johnbob7 Posted February 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Congrats, Robyn! Can't think of anyone who deserves this upsell more. We actually did the RS on the Adventure in 2011. I secretly upgraded us tot eh RS from a GS. My fiancee couldn't understand what we had done wrong that we were waiting for the Concierge to come escort us on board, and we were the first people on the ship. she took us direct to the RS, and my fiancee was speechless! Once she got over the initial shock of being in the RS, I then shocked her again by pulling out a ring and getting on my knee to pop the question. After that the rest of the cruise was magical. (well, there was a sinus infection that put a damper on activities, but the suite was perfect for just hanging out relaxing). The RS is impressive. High points: hot tub on balcony (use it, its great); bathroom is an entire suite in itself; dining area beautiful (and you should use it at least once for dinner in the suite); and of course, the grand piano in the entry foyer. Enjoy and bon voyage! BobJ Edited February 13, 2014 by johnbob7 typo

I have gone on YouTube and looked at some videos of the suite and it's awesome :p Someone mentioned on another thread that the Navigator has a second bathroom with a shower, but I didn't see this on the video for the AD? Thanks again for sharing your story!!!
johnbob7 Posted February 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2014 As I recall. the AD RS bathroom had: a giant jacuzzi tub, and gigantic walk in steam shower, two sinks, then a separate room attached for the toilet and bidet with it's own sink. Hard to describe, but the toilet room opened off the entry way, then had another door into the main bathroom. That way, you could close off the main bath and use the toilet room as the guest powder room. Forgot to mention before, the living room is huge, with power drapes! and wife said I need to mention the large walk in closet. Oh, and the bed is round (with a mirror on the ceiling above it;)) Also French doors separate the bedroom from the living areas. re: the concierge escort: I think they were doing that for any RS guest back then, but for us the concierge Reshma worked with me a lot setting up some surprises and so her escort was part of the surprise in that she didn't let on where we were going. Last I heard she had gone on maternity leave and I have not heard if she ever returned in any capacity, but she was wonderful. bobj

Cruising89143 Posted February 13, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Robyn first of all congrats on the upgrade. I have photos of the Adventure RS in my sig line below. We stayed in this stateroom back in 2009. Loved it but what made it really good was the Concierge Dede. She was just great. Came by every afternoon to check on us and brought us all kinds of goodies. :) I miss her. She was one of the best in the business. Lucky that last year on our B2B on the AOS she was still on board as GRM so I got to spend some time with her. I am looking forward to this cruise and can't wait to step inside the RS!!! We have never been met by the Concierge in the terminal and escorted onto the ship. I have our next 2 cruises booked into the RS and don't expect to be escorted for those either. kittshummock Posted February 13, 2014 #24 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Robyn, could you purchase a crown and post a picture of you, in the hot tub, with your crown? You are the queen and such a big supporter of Royal. Gave Tom your best wishes and he sends them back to you double. xo
Clarea Posted February 13, 2014 #25 Share Posted February 13, 2014 I will be posting a review with pics when I return!!!! Stay tuned!! We just got off Adventure this past Sunday. Met a nice couple in the Royal Suite who invited us to visit the suite for some drinks. Very nice inside, and a good size hot tub. The best part is the bathroom with a shower built for two.
