Recent Emerald Princess travelers, all- inclusive drink package

Without the search feature my research is limited, but I've been reading that the "trial" all inclusive drink package is has now gone fleet wide and is available on the Emerald. I'm curious what the details are from someone who's been on board recently.

 

How much per day?

Does everyone in the room have to purchase?

Does is include soda, water and specialty and brewed coffees?

Does this count for buckets of beer or do you have to buy each beer individual?

Can you order a "double" and have it count as two?

Is there a limit?

Do drinks on Princess Cays count towards this package?

Is there tax on either the package itself or the drinks while still in port?

You're welcome. Yes he knows. It originally was suppose to be a surprise but Princess sent him an email and let the cat out of the bag. ;) I had arranged with my TA to send everything only to me via email but never thought about all the Princess emails. It was my fault but it really doesn't matter. I do ALL the planning so in reality every time he does something it's a surprise!! :D:D

We were very recently on Crown Princess and bought "Alcohol Stickers". Should be the same for Emerald.

$40 + 15% each day

 

Does everyone in the room have to purchase?

Yes, we both had to buy one.

 

Does is include soda, water and specialty and brewed coffees?

It includes sodas, specialty & brewed coffees. Never ordered water so don't know about that. :D

 

Does this count for buckets of beer or do you have to buy each beer individual?

You have to order each beer individually.

 

Can you order a "double" and have it count as two?

It only includes drinks costing $10 or less so a double would cost more than that. Hint: Order a single of what you want and sign that tab ... then, order a shot straight-up.

 

Is there a limit?

There is no limit. You can order as many drinks as you like.

 

Do drinks on Princess Cays count towards this package?

Yes! Same as one the ship. Things like Coke will be served to in a can.

 

Drinks at Vines are included. Also, the MDR.

Room Service drinks are NOT.

Bottles of wine costing less than $100 get a 40% discount.

My typo of $40 not $49 would have been better. Sorry about that! :o

We had no problem at all getting great bar service using the "Alcohol Sticker"! :)

For us it was worthwhile because we both drink. He more than I but it worked out on the positive side for us ... and, yes we would do it again. :)

Sorry to hear that Anthony found out about the cruise beforehand but I am sure he loved the surprise non the less , not sure I could keep a secret that big for long , I am boring my husband mad talking about this cruise all the time , I think I may be obsessed ..............

I am confused with this new drink package. Does every adult on the ship have to buy it? Can you still get the UKP? I can't drink because of medical reasons.

 

You don't have to buy it. However, if one person in your cabin buys it then every person in the cabin has to buy it.

Water is included in the package. We would get a large bottle from any bar and take that back to our room. We would also grab a couple of bottles of water or soda that they sell as you exit the ship to go ashore.
