PatC Posted April 18, 2014 #226 Share Posted April 18, 2014 I posted right after my "ECO" gaff that I meant ECO. I DON"t see it here though. By "merge" I meant the convincingly both products into one. Rumors abounded on this cruise. We have to see what Equinox looks like after this dry dock. I will not mention any more. I appreciate you coming back but none of us know what ECO means. What do those three letter stand for?:) Edited April 18, 2014 by cruisingator2

Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 19, 2014 #229 Share Posted April 19, 2014 The worst draft beer aboard a ship I sailed on was Carnival's red frog ale aboard the Splendor. (Horrible ship btw).It tasted like somebodys first attempt at homebrew. AWFUL stuff. I think the lighter lagers and pilsners do ok on ships though. Maybe it was bad to begin with? Any beer will do OK if they sell a lot of it, so Heineken and Stella are safe choices. But if it's going to sit a while, that's why the British invented IPAs: the hops preserve the beer through the voyage.
Chunky2219 Posted April 19, 2014 #230 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Too funny! English tapas is an oxymoron to be sure. "Ave anotha tamale govena?" I see that you have studied at the Dick Van Dyke "cor blimey Mary Poppins" school of English accents. Even London cabbies don't speak like that when they're laying it on a bit thick for the tourists. While I'm at it, it's a little distressing to some of us this side of the pond to be able to instantly spot the baddie in any Film or US drama as soon as they spark up with that terrible fake English accent that seems to be taught in all second-rate acting schools. It completely spoils the entire plot. And no, Daphne's mother in Frasier didn't have a Manchester accent. Thanks y'all. :) .

Well, British actors sure can do an American accent, & they seem to be taking all the acting gigs! I can't tell how many times I see an actress or actor on a talk show who is a regular on a TV (& it's not a telly:D) show & realize that they are British! But I do have one question: how come there are tons of Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Mexican, Brazillian restaurants, but nary an English one?
